Hey, $8.86 is a nice deal on the new Big Lebowski two-disc. In for one -- thanks, punit!
|
How many titles are there actually? I clicked "500 per page" and it all showed up on one page.

And I noticed Dazed & Confused and The Pianist showed up twice. Maybe they're counting various formats available (like widescreen and pan/scan).

Good looks on the heads up Punit.

This list is not complete. Someone above already noticed the great price on The Big Lebowski, and that's not on the list. I looked up All Quiet on the Western Front to see if it's on sale, and sure enough it's $6.58, compared to the earlier DD price of $10.98. (And by the way, I strongly, strenuously recommend All Quiet on the Western Front, especially for that price.)
I may give DD a call tomorrow to see if a complete list of sale titles can be provided. EDIT: Found another one: Lost Highway for $8.86! |

Legend - Ultimate Edition - $6.58
Harvey (1950) - $6.58 Big Lebowski - 10th Anniversary Edition - $8.86 |
Two more not on the list:
Heroes (1977 - Henry Winkler) $8.86 The Car (1977 - James Brolin) $8.86 |
Strange to not list so many titles...
Three more from my wishlist: Going My Way (Bing Crosby) - $6.58 Fearless (Jet Li) - $8.86 She Done Him Wrong (Mae West) - $6.58 |
I don't get it. The Heiress is one of the featured titles but it's not on the list. If anyone finds some good anomalies please post them.
|
MST3k: The Movie is also not listed - $8.86.
|
This includes all of the Universal Cinema Classics Collection:
Arabian Nights No Man of Her Own The Heiress Unconquered Scarface Midnight All Quiet on the Western Front The Major and the Minor So Proudly We Hail Easy Living She Done Him Wrong Going My Way Some great titles at a good price. |
Munster Movie Pack at $6.58 is also not listed
|
I purchased a few DVDs which I assume were part of the sale, but were not listed on the sale list (and were not previously listed on this thread as being omissions):
King Kong (2005) 5.98 Motorcycle Diaries 6.58 Broken Flowers 6.58 Elizabeth: The Golden Age 8.86 Charlie Wilson's War 8.86 Marnie 8.86 The Man Who Knew Too Much 8.86 I wish they would put the whole sale list on the website. It's a great deal. I've been forced to try to search for all Universal titles and then check to see if they are part of the sale to take advantage of it. |
The Big Lebowski for $8.86 is a good deal.
|
I just placed a small order:
They Live $6.58 Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein $8.86 The Breakfast Club: Flashback Edition* $8.86 *(Also not on the list) |
They also have the 2-disc Collector's Edition of Brokeback Mountain for $8.86. I already have it, or I'd grab it for that price. They have some amazing deals in this sale; it's weird that they're not promoting all of them.

for those wanted to complete thier inspector clouseau collection that they started from big lots, return of the pink panther is here for 6.58, you will not find this at big lots as it is the only inspector clouseau film that was put out by universal, all the others were put out by mgm.
I also picked up blues brothers 2000, I already own the 1st blues brothers and the sequal is a guilty pleasure of mine because of the great music. gotta love that final scene where they are about to play at that battle of the bands, and they say, how good can these guys be, and they look out and there is eric clapton and b.b. king, among many other music greats. would have picked up the sting, but was only in fool screen, the widescreen was like 20 bucks |
Everyone should own The Heiress. A very cold film, but one of Wyler's best.
|
Picked up the new Big Lebowski two-disc & got rid of my old one today....
|
Picked up:
The Heiress Scarface No Man of Her Own |
