Midnight Express 30th Anniversary Edition 7.99 at Borders.

Didn't see (though admittedly didn't look...) anything similarly unusual, and this one caught my eye as a newer edition I was interested in.
DD lists it at ~$15, Amazon sells it around $18, with used prices on Amazon starting at $9.98.

If you add it to your cart at borders.com (link) it comes out 7.99 there already.

Dunno what the "released October 7th" is all about, though. Maybe a block put in place until the sale price goes into effect when today (Tuesday) "officially starts."

Maybe the new date is a re-release without the slipcase / book. Great price -- might have to finally upgrade my 20th.

The DVD is $16.19 at the site, but it automatically applies a promotion when you add it to your cart: "Select DVDs $7.99 - Unless Better Online Discount Already Applied." I'm trying to find out what other "select DVDs" the promotion applies to, but the site is weird to navigate.

Also note that if you spend $25 or more, shipping is free.

If you click "DVDs" at the top you find a link to this:
http://www.borders.com/online/store/...cmpid=d1-90908

(it says "DVDs 7.99/select titles")

I ordered my copy yesterday (Wed. 10/1) and it shipped yesterday, even though it was still listed as a pre-order.

This title is now $5.99 (today only) in store. Additional titles that are available are listed here.

I was at a store while an employee was setting the sale display up. He showed me a written list of the titles in the sale. I noticed the 30th Anniversary Edition of Midnight Express but didn't see it. Found it on the regular shelf and brought it back to the guy asking if it was on sale. At first, he said it probably wasn't but was surprised that it was indeed included. When I checked out, the associate there also commented on what a good deal it was.
