Target Prices: September 28 - October 4, 2008 (Iron Man Hot Collectible)

HI DVDTalkers!

Got the Target circular for 9/28/08 - 10/4/08 in my hands.

Please be aware of the following:
  • All New Release CD / DVD prices listed are advertised as Available Tuesday 9/30/08
  • Suspected Low Price is listed in parentheses
  • Memorex 50 Pack CD-R discs >>>> $9
  • Memorex 25 Pack DVD+R OR DVD-R discs >>>> $9
  • GAMERS: The Wii Gaming System is NOT listed in this week’s ad ….. Sorry!
  • From time to time special deals / prices will be listed in the Store Notes Section & the in the product price thread that may or may not be available in your specific geographic area. This is due to Regional Market Variations of the nationwide ads that I post and as such, not all deals / prices will be available in all Target stores. Please note that this version of the Target ad originates in the Northeast.

As always, ask any questions (except about laptops) and I'll respond as soon as I can.

I'll be picking up Iron Man 2-disc here.

No mention of Sports Night: 10th Anniversary Edition?

The case is ALSO for the Blu-Ray version as well.

Here's what I stated in Iron Man thread in the Talk Forum:

These masks appear to come in some sort of clear sleeve which would allow it to stand the mask vertically like a regular DVD.

You can see approximately 75% of the mask behind the clear plastic with only about a quarter obscured by a stripe on the left hand side.

Blue stripe with Gold / White lettering is for Blu-Ray Ultimate Edition

Black stripe with Gold lettering is for 2 Disc Standard DVD Collector's Edition.

so the standard DVD $22.99 is the one with this case? bc you mention Deluxe CE, but $22.99 listing doesn't say Deluxe...
looks good, but i will stick to the SteelBook.

Only At Target! Blu-Ray Disc and Deluxe (Collector’s Edition)
Iron Man: 2 Disc Collector’s Edition >>>>> $22.99 ????
also note ???? leads to this footnote about packaging

I'm running around my cubicle at work because I'm so excited about this! I gotta be at Target first thing that morning (and hope they have the New Releases out by then) to get that Iron Head!

Thanks for the heads up, Speedy!

Is it Tuesday yet?

I feel the same way Valeyard. I may have to take an early offsite lunch.

I'll definitely be going to Target right when it opens to get the Blu-ray Iron Man head packaging. I'm all for supporting collectible packaging for Blu-ray releases... it doesnt happen enough yet.

Target calls their souped editions Deluxe and as we have found out over the last few months, sometime there is nothing Deluxe or exclusive about them.

The ???? refers to this blurb: Only At Target! Blu-Ray Disc and Deluxe (Collector’s Edition) DVD have exclusive mask packaging and additional bonus footage

I put in the Collector's Edition so that it would match with the Amazon title description but now have put back Target's "Deluxe" appellation.

That's pretty cool to see them do that for the Blu-ray version. The collector in me wants it, but I'm starting to move beyond these fancy packages and stick with normal cases.

Thanks Speedy! I've already committed to a SteelBook but that mask looks awesome, might have to get it too...

I also might pick up Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I am pretty sure it is a 3-Disc, but not entirely sure.

This is a case designed to hold the BDs or DVDs. Transformers only had transforming cases or a basic face mask. I like it and will be at Target to get this.

It snaps open to reveal the discs.. this doesn't look to be the cheap casing used for Transformers.

I don't generally go for special cases but this one seems pretty cool. Do they generally have plenty of these or is it a "be there when they open" kind of thing?

I fully expect this one and the Best Buy one (here & Canada) to be in ultra-high demand.
