I had ordered this back on July 15, the last day I could use a $5 off coupon for payment with my Amazon Visa....I think the price then was like $84.95, so my original pre-order price after coupon was $79.95...
I was already lowered once due to the pre-order guarantee to $74.95, making mine $69.95 after coupon....but yesterday mine was lowered to $61.95, so I am now getting it for $56.95 after coupon! Way to go Amazon!!

The price has gone down to $71.95 at the moment. If it drops $10 it will be at $61.95 again.

Got it, and they gave me a 5% discount (it seems to come and go on Blu ray orders for me now). $58 for The Godfather Trilogy? Sold!

How did you guys get the 5% discount?

I was planning to get the Blu-ray when DD has their 20% sale because since Amazon charge tax to NY state now, DD will beat this Amazon's price by about $10. But with 5%off I might just jump in early and pay only little bit more.

Very simple. Use Bill me later as the payment option and apply
the BMLSAVES code and this is what you will get (minus any tax you may need to pay). No doubt the best deal.

Order Summary
Items: $61.95
Shipping & Handling: $2.98
Super Saver Discount -$2.98
Pre-order Guarantee -$0.00
BMLSAVES Promotion -$5.00
Total Before Tax: $56.95
Estimated Tax: $0.00
Order Total: $56.95

You got free shipping!

^^^^Interesting--thanks for the heads-up. May still stick with the Amazon order for a couple of bucks more, but the more options the better. Amazon may keep reducing...

Do you have to call Borders to cancel a pre-order? I didn't see any other way listed.

I thought I remember reading that you can't cancel a Borders preorder, but I may be mistaken.

I ended up canceling my Amazon order, and placed the order at Tower. I've had the Twister blu-ray in my cart there for a couple of weeks at about $13, so this way I was able to order it together with The Godfather to get free shipping on it, while saving a couple of bucks on The Godfather.

Yes, I had to call them. I think its the last time I'll ever order anything from Borders.com

Yes, because you are likely to spend the better half of a day waiting for someone to answer the phone, and emailing them might be even worse. You should never have to call to cancel an internet order.
