Re: 99 Cents Only stores has a few DVD's
I guess it's something..... Mine got rid of the DVD section for Xmas. As of yesterday it was still filled with Xmas stuff (no mark down signs either).
They had rows and rows of Duck Dynasty Pop Vinyls. I guess they aren't the media empire they once were. If they were any other pop vinyls I'm sure they'd be gone in a flash.

I would include dozens of another title, well titles. Three holiday Martha Stewart DVDs in snapper cases.

Picked up the following a few days ago:
Oddly, other than the Voltron DVD there was only one copy of each title, though there were two shelves full of those Kim Kardashian DVDs.

I got a Voltron 2-disc set in a tin case from that store a few years ago.
Mom and Dad Save The World had one of the biggest walk-out rates I've seen during its brief theatrical run. It only drew a few people to begin with, but one night I checked both evening shows and EVERYONE had left by an hour into it. I might be the only person who ever made it all the way through it, including the 9 minutes of end credits. And yes I have the DVD, think it was $3 at Big Lots.

Found a WB Double feature DVD today. It was just sitting with the picture frames. I couldn't find a DVD location at the store (it's not where it used to be) but I didn't look too hard.

The DVD section has returned to my local store. Plenty of that Dungeons and Dragons Double Feature and Screen Gems releases. I found a couple interesting things.
The Gathering (Warner). TV movie from the 70's
Monday Night Mayhem (Warner)

Re: 99 Cents Only stores has a few DVD's
My store finally got a new selection of dvds in. Stuff like Panic Room, Das Boot-uncut and a few others. Sad part is they now charge $1.99 for a DVD.

What I will buy for 1.99 is about 20x less than what I will buy for 1.00. I blind buy ALOT for a buck, but when it gets to 2.00, then I really have to have a strong interest in it. Actually this may be good for me, so I won't be buying a bunch of stuff I'll never watch.

Re: 99 Cents Only stores has a few DVD's
This version is the original German miniseries that clocks in at almost 5 hours (4 hours and 53 minutes). They trimmed it down to the theatrical and director's cut versions, available on DVD and Blu-ray.
There are 2 discs. Disc One is single sided, single layer with 1 hour and 48 minutes. Disc Two is single sided, dual layer with the balance of the miniseries, 3 hours and 5 minutes.
There are no extras on this Mill Creek version. I guess it is worth $1.99, but I'm not sure.

Sure wish they would change their name if they're not going to price everything only at 99 cents anymore. A while ago I found a couple DVDs for $1.99 each that I might have paid that much for elsewhere, but didn't buy them there just on principle.

Yep. I was there today and picked up 1 double movie set of My Science Project/Just Visiting mainly because I was just thinking about My Science Project and thought it was a funny coincidence I ran across it there. They also had a 90s TV pilots set (with pilot episodes of stuff like Mad About You, The Nanny, etc...) and a Made for TV Disaster Movie set that I almost grabbed but figured I'd never watch. Bruce Campbell was in it though...

Those might be worth 99 cents, but not a penny more.
