Odd - just got an order confirmation for the order I just placed (though it never officially said it went through). Still no confirmation from my first, 80% order.

It seems like I'm the only person this isn't working for.

The "Shopping Cart" icon shows 20 items, but I can't get to it to check out or edit it...

Maybe that means your account is banned.

Try logging out and seeing if you can add something to your shopping card and view it that way.

I had to try submitting twice. Never showed any kind of confirmation.

Now I have ONE pending charge showing... Yikes... I hope the other one doesn't turn up.

Pressing my luck by pre-ordering The Man from U.N.C.L.E. for $59.40. To search for it, you have to include the periods, typing in "uncle" doesn't give any matches

Took a while for the order to go through, but it did. Now to do some more searching...

I got the 70% to work. Took about 2 minutes for each page to load, but I got it to work. I just preordered the Lebowski bowling ball set, but who knows if it will actually end up shipping or not.

And now the site is back down again.

The 70% coupon worked for me, and I've received a confirmation e-mail. However, I highly doubt it will go through (especially considering that only one of the five items I've ordered is currently available and the rest are pre-order). Even if it doesn't work, it was a hell of a cheap thrill! LOL! I pre-ordered Iron Man and it went through twice, but I was too scared to attempt to go back and take it off because the site was crazy slow for me, so I have 2 copies in my order.

My order looks like this:

-Iron Man [Blu-ray] Pre-order 1 $32.79

-Iron Man [Blu-ray] Pre-order 1 $32.79

-Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Fourth Season [Blu-ray] Pre-order 1 $95.99

-Sleeping Beauty [Blu-ray] Pre-order 1 $38.99

-The Nightmare Before Christmas [Blu-ray] In Process 1 $35.19

Sub Total: $235.75
Sales Tax: $6.52
Shipping: $14.90
Coupons & Promotions: -$157.47

Order Total: $99.70

Thanks for posting! This was fun whether I actually receive the items or they cancel the order completely.

I was able use the 70% before it went down again. MST3k 20th Anniversary for $19.00 and I got the email confirmation. Time will tell.

Son of a #@! I got all the way to submitting my payment info and the site crashed! I wasn't greedy, either. All I wanted was a couple of Blu-Rays and a book. Sure, it was $88.43 worth of stuff and I was about to get it for $3.11 after the 70% discount, BordersRewards money and Gift Cards were factored in. . .still, I was ready to get in and get out.

In anticipation of them cancelling orders, I have already complained to the Better Business Bureau and have contacted a lawyer for a class action lawsuit!

hahahah, I know. That's how half the reactions will be when they get a cancellation e-mail.

If it's an executive that made the mistake, probably not. They'll just send us an e-mail dumping our orders and letting us know that it's our fault. I really have no expectations of receiving this order, but the site is completely down right now.

the problem is we dont know were this code came from. it wasnt something sent to us by borders or advertised anywhere, and is likely a code that exists for internal use only. so unless THEY provided the code to the public for public use, they arent obligated to honor it. it's like if i got a hold of somebodys account password and started using it.

BBB wont do anything and class action will go nowhere. i placed my orders just in case, but i know full well these will ALL be cancelled.

Well, I guess this just ain't gonna work for me at....I tried the 80% a while ago...it quit working. I went to try the 70%...the site was down. The site's back up, and I can't access the shopping cart feature now...says it's temporarily down. Man they really don't want anybody to get in on this.

Yes, and those people should be made fun of. Now if Borders ships all those orders and then charges full price...

But it looks like I was too late for this. The shopping cart "feature" isnt working.

It's dead can get to the checkout page and could put the codes in but wouldn't apply. It would say "for CS use only".
