New Wal-Mart display $16 & $10 dvds

Just saw an end cap display at my local Wal-Mart,

Prices were $16 $ 20 for the sets, and $10 for the individual dvds.

$20 sets.
The Revenge of the Nerds set
Porkys set
I think some others as well.

$16 sets
Robot Chicken seasons 1 & 2
Aqua Teen Hunger Force Seasons ?
some other ones as well.

$10 titles
Ferris Bueller: Looks like it has all the features of the SE, plus has a slipcover and comes with a bottle cap thing.
Anchorman: Also comes with a bottle cap thing.
Old School: Same as above
A Whole bunch of others as well

Sorry didn't have a pad of paper to write the titles down, going by memory.

Feel free to add titles to the list if you see the display at your WM.

.

You can get these at Blockbuster (through 8-31) for much cheaper (see blockbuster thread)

Thanks for posting the information, DouglasRobert. I'm so spoiled on the $3.00 DVD's at Big Lots though.

Lousy deal. Walmart has become one of the worst places to buy dvds.

No you can't. They only have them in new, and ATHF (along with Venture Bros) are $24.99 a pop. Even with the $10 off coupon, it's still $14.99 + $3.79 shipping then tax.

So the Wal-Mart route is the best way to go right now.

i saw Rosanne Seasons for $13.99. Also some some Threes Company sets for the same price. Picked up Chappelle's Show Season 2 for $12

^These are priced better at DD in the current Anchor Bay Back to School Sale running through 8/31/08.

Rosanne Seasons 1-3 are $10.93/ea.
Rosanne Seasons 4-9 are $14.58/ea.
Three's Company Season 1 is $5.99
Three's Company Seasons 2-8 are $10.93/ea.

While not in the Anchor Bay listings...
Chappelle's Show Seasons 1-2 are $13.37/ea.

No tax (for most), no gas burned, and free shipping.

That depends on what you are purchasing. Like anywhere you have to know your prices and what is a good deal or not. I like to use them to PM other merchants (when they actually have an advertised DVD in stock) because WM is closer to me than anyone else plus I like making them eat the extra cost. For example, I recently picked up BSG S1 for $19.95 at WM with a PM. Their "regular" price is ~$33.

:crap:

Did you really have to post this? How would you like it if someone came into a thread that you started and crapped all over it?

Thanks for the post, OP.

their $4 selection of dvds had some pretty decent titles. and that was what, two months ago? the replacement selections haven't been the best, but still

Vague thread title.

This morning on one of the endcaps my Wal-Mart had:

Metalocalypse S1
Robot Chicken S1,2
Aqua Teen Hunger Force S2-4

$16.00 each.
