What does everyone think the chances are of using a coupon and still getting the gift card?

I don't think that is an issue since the email doesn't say any exclusion regarding coupons.

You can use a coupon with the purchase. The subtotal has to be 50 or higher after the coupon, though, to get the free gift card. However, you cannot use the free gift card to pay for the purchase...which people have tried to do.

GENERAL QUESTION...........If the total comes to over $50 for 2 DVDs and I am giving one as a gift with gift receipt, will my niece get her full refund if she wants to return it or how does that work?

Yep, and that's actually just what I would buy with it, except that it isn't 22-25 like mekeez said, it's only 22-23, and I can't get to a Borders until the 24th.

Looks like they changed the coupon. Now it says valid through "5/25/09".

I saw it, but I stack my coupons a lot. So someone still may need it. More if they don't meet the $10 requirement. I have come across a lot of picky cashiers.

Has anyone else noticed that they have pretty much done away with online coupons? I don't see Borders lasting to much longer with the way they are currently doing business.

I didn't know you could stack the coupons at Borders.

Probably a dumb question but can these coupons be used with new releases on sale? So if a $30 DVD is on sale for $20, can I use the current week's coupon on the DVD as well?

Most of the coupons are worded "off of regular price".

So sometimes they help, sometimes not. I used one yesterday, the 30% off, which was slightly better than the sale price.

I think you've got the order mixed up. They did away with online coupons because they know they aren't going to last much longer.

They already won't order anything for you if they don't have it in stock or transfer it store-to-store, so if the coupon is "Store Only," and they don't have what you want locally, your only option is to drive to whatever the closest store is that DOES carry it.

Multiple financial analysts have put Borders in their Death Pool. They aren't expected to last the year. So if you have a lot of gift cards/credit saved, get comfortable with the idea of either using a coupon in-store for something you really didn't want that much, or paying $42 for a $18 Blu-Ray on their website.

Raising the prices $5 over MSRP, not fulfilling their online order on time, eliminating catalog releases for both CDs and DVD and trying to stock only new releases, having picky cashiers who don't allow the use of multiple coupons through separate transactions, changing their Rewards program to Border Bucks and raising the rewards goal to $150.

Re: The Official Borders Coupon Thread volume 2 - Updated Weekly

Spend $25, get $5 off Through 6/7.
http://www.bordersmedia.com/coup/cou...L_20090602_REW

Also, buy 4 books, get 5th free. No coupon necessary through 6/7.

Can't be combined apparently.
