I've received 6 out of my 14 titles, while another 6 shipped this week. All of these were ordered on eiter 7/20 or 7/24.

Fear and Loathing and The Vanishing have been backordered for almost 3 weeks now, but I'm not complaining. Their shipping has been fast lately, so hopefully I'll get more stuff in tomorrow.

26 of the 40 titles that I ordered have either arrived or have been shipped. Which is fine because you can't beat those prices - and it's no wonder they sold out of all their stock with such a great deal. I had a similar experience with the titles I ordered during the last 20% off sale. So as long as they all get here eventually, it's all good.

The last one I'm waiting for now is Elevator to the Gallows.

I've received 16/20. I placed two orders of 2 each on July 27th. One of those discs has shipped, the other three are still on backorder. No rush.

It's a pretty weak release though. The Hoskins/Jordan commentary hasn't been ported over, and there are no new extras. Can anyone weigh on the differences in transfer? I know the AB is anamorphic, unlike the earlier Criterion.

The Spirit of the Beehive arrived today, which was the final of the 10 I ordered. What a great (though disposable income-draining) sale.

Unfortunately, DVDBeaver has only compared the 2002 Anchor Bay R2 release to the Criterion...and he didn't like what he saw.

Sorry, but I haven't found any information as to whether the 2006 Anchor Bay R1 disc is a port of their old R2 transfer or not.

It'll be interesting to see if they repeat this sale next July. I may be warier of purchasing Criterions during the next May 20% off sale.

That's what I'm talking about. I had to take it easy on this one, so I only ordered 2 titles. I could have easily ordered 20. I can only hope the success of this sale prompts them to make it a bi-annual event.
