I definitely wouldn't be buying these on BD, so this was an easy "one fell swoop" buy for me.

I'm with you on this. My wife is going to have a massive fit when she sees Caesar's head. I thought about it for a couple of hours, but was unable to hold back.

Son of a bitch. I cannot believe that 8 hours later, after I deposited the money to my account, they are all gone. This sucks.

I'd jumped on the bandwagon about a year ago in August when it was down to $79.99 and thought I got a great deal. Ah well

I missed it, too. I keep coming so close, yet so far, from owning my monkey. I guess it just wasnt meant to be...

Saw it while browsing Amazon and bought it and came to post here but there was already a thread with a couple of posts. Mine has a ship date of July 7th and I have free 2-day prime shipping.

The word is the Blu-Ray will have substantially more extras, including a book and the original Conquest ending. Neither tv series from my understanding, though.

This was a little less than 6 bucks a year and half ago on a "price error" when I got this one (along with a bunch of other folks).

Is this the group you are reading? http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/pota/

I browsed through and searched several months of postings. I may have missed something, but I didn't see anything that mentioned anything special. Quite the opposite from some posts.

Again, links?

Tell her it's going on the mantle and that's all there is to it. Seriously though, it really bothered my 2 year old (now 3) and my wife told her I threw it out. Caesar lives in my closet now. My older child wasn't sure how to interpret the ape head.

Like John Lennon sang,

"Everybody's got something to hide 'cept for me & my monkey."

Somewhere there is a therapist who is going to make a lot of money listening to a little girl talk about the day she snooped in Dad's closet.

The info about the book was in a post about the recent New Jersey screening, the blu ray news was post a while back. The group had the news before the story went wide. Do a search on "Great News" within the site.... I don't have the link, right this second I don't have the time to search it.

Damn, missed another one.

I'm just hoping all these recent DVD box sets in the gold box will prompt another $99 deal for the Buffy complete series set.

Here is an independent link, that mentions the book, and "kitchen sink" extras.
