At $2.40 each, I binged at picked up 33 new ones (under $80). So few of these barebones MGM titles have 5.1 sound or features, I tried to call them out below. Also picked up a few lingering Sony titles (which are almost all 5.1 sound)

Untamed Heart [1993] (Christian Slater, Marisa Tomei, Rosie Perez)
Foxes [1980] (Jodie Foster, dir: Adrian Lyne)
Making Mr. Right [1987] (Ann Magnuson, John Malkovich)
Rush [1991] (Jason Patric, Jennifer Jason Leigh)
- this one actually has a commentary, 5.1 sound, featurette
Confessions of an American Girl [2004] (Jena Malone)
Bad Influence [1990] flipper? (Rob Lowe, James Spader)
Avanti (Jack Lemmon, dir: Billy Wilder)
Irma La Douce [1963] (Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine, dir: Billy Wilder)
White Nights: SE [1985] (Baryshnikov, Gregory Hines, dir: Hackford)
- this is Sony/Columbia title, w/Commentary & doc
Rollerball [1975] (James Caan, dir: Jewison)
- another one with commentary, 5.1 sound, and featurette
Believers [1987] (Martin Sheen)
Art School Confidential [2005] Sony Classics
Imaginary Heroes [2005] (Sig Weaver) Sony title
Intermission [2003] IFC films (Colm Meaney, Cillian Murphy)
Disparate Hours [1990] Cimino remake with Rourke, Hopkins
Fugitive Kind [1960] Lumet film with Brando & Mrs. Newman
- based on T. Williams play
Locusts [1997] Avant Garde cinema series
Flawless [1999] (Deniro, Hoffman) 5.1 sound
Grand Theft Parsons [2004] (Johnny Knoxville, C. Applegate)
Boxcar Bertha [1972] (Barbara Hersey, David Carradine, dir: Scorsese)
- Scorsese collection artwork on this, not Avante Garde collection
Shot in the Dark [1964] flipper? (Peter Sellers, dir: Blake Edwards)
Foxy Brown [1974] Soul Cinema series (Pam Grier)
Statement, The [2003] (Michael Caine, Tilda Swinton, J. Northam)
- Sony movie

And a good bunch of Midnight Movies, classic, and camp horror, including:

Ghoul, The [1933] (Karloff)
After Midnight [1989] (Marge Helgenberger)
- Tagline: "Welcome to Fear 101. There will be a test."
Bucket of Blood [1959] (dir: Corman)
- Just nothing like dead beatniks!
Frogs [1972]
- Classic tagline, "Today the pond, tomorrow the world"
Thing with Two Heads [1972] Midnight Movies
- You know, it really doesn't get better than this one.
Die Monster Die [1965] Midnight Movies (Karloff)
- supposedly based on Lovecraft's "Colour Out of Space"
I Bury the Living [1957] Midnight Movies

I think I saw Wilder's "The Apartment" there as well, but for whatever reason it didn't end up in my bin. Also, they had all the Fox in a Box titles, and bunch more Soul Cinema titles, too. I just picked up Foxy Brown.

Wouldn't you know it, the day they're $2.40 a pop just happened to be during a week there was no new stock added ...or re-stocks. Of course that didn't stop me from making trip #4 for MGM titles!

Picked up a few from the "dysfunctional family" genre:

Eat Drink Man Woman
All or Nothing
The Safety of Objects

Some '80s cheeseballs:

Beat Street
Thrashin
'

A couple of docs:

Muhammad Ali A.K.A. Cassius Clay
The Yes Men

Some toons:

The Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection: Frolics in the Pink (Vol 3)

And early De Palma:

Hi, Mom!

Here's hoping the next round of Midnite Movies show up this week.

Good finds, beebs, I don't remember those titles coming up before.

Couldn't resist the 20% off either, picked up:
Making the Grade (failed 80's comedy with Judd Nelson that was supposed to be part 1 of a planned comedy trilogy)
A Bucket of Blood
The Kentuckian (my westerns collection is getting much bigger due to Big Lots)
Capturing the Friedmans (HBO documentary)
Romantic Comedy (Dudley Moore)
The Great Train Robbery(was looking hard for this one)
The Falcon and the Snowman
and another copy of Guys and Dolls deluxe edition

And if I may go slightly off topic, I browsed thru other parts of the store and came upon something interesting:
McFarlane Toys Hanna-Barbera Series 2 display models
You can see them here
I guess there were seven in the series, and my Big Lots had Magilla Gorilla, Penelope Pitstop and Fred with Dino. I picked up Fred for $4 (marked at $5)

I have an extra Bubba Hotep/Invasion of the Body Snatchers/Killer Clowns.

If you care to trade or if you want to pay the shipping, it's fine with me.

I found a copy of Kaze No Yojimbo, the complete collection, without a price tag and the cashier let me buy it for $2.40.

^Nice! with your bad self (I grabbed one to trade with, but it was clearly marked )

Still no new MGM's in my area, I suppose it should be this week. Too late for the coupon though, but I did use it to get a couple remaining titles I've been unsure of, a new dvd rack, an air cleaner, and some other stuff for the house. Had to make the trip worth it

Any chance you have a scanner and would be willing to scan the cover for that one (believe it comes with a cover art change)?

I was really surprised at how funny/rewarding this particular one was... needless to say, there's way too many "Intertwined dramedy" DVDs in the MGM catalog. There must be 10 in this selection.

I just started visiting Big Lots last week....anyone know if the "Thing with Two Heads" is a fairly recent title being stocked or is it just a wild fluke of fantastic luck to find one on the cheap just sitting there on the shelf?! (like beebs did!)

Updated the Master List with the new MGM titles recently posted (and added Cracker Series Three to the HBO list).

Also added color type to some of the MGM series so that they could be more easily spotted in the list:

The MGM Midnite Movies are now listed in dark red type.

MGM Western Legends are in dark green type.

MGM World Films are in purple type.

Ahh, win some, lose out on some I guess. I saw a new display at a Big Lots I was at today...new to me anyway. I remember it tagged something like-
"30 million dollar drug store buyout...take 20% off the drug store DVD price.". I didn't see any good deals though! Saw titles that the Wal-Mart dump bun has had forever like, Deathtrap, but would have been $7.99 with the discount at Big Lots. Saw Heath Ledger's, "A Knight's Tale", for $7.99 which is a fun movie I already have but I don't see them seliing this stuff very fast at the current discount level. Heck, they had a ton of cool MGM titles left over that they couldn't sell for $2.40 each last Sunday with the coupon...

Keep up the great work Autolycus.

Couple of notes/additions.

First Look titles to add.. Close Your Eyes and Missing in America.

Sibling Rivalry was spotted but don't see it list under MGM (post 371). Also, The Believers (post 376) and A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon (post 367) are unlisted in the first page.

Jiminy Glick in Lalawood is listed on the same line as Jean de Florette.

Serpent's Egg and Rhapsody in August, huh? Does anyone know if these two are long-gone or if they are recent enough that I might still find them?

I seen them at the ones in Beckley and Oak Hill.
I haven't got to go to the 2 in Charleston or 1 in Princeton in about 3 weeks.

Picked up a copy of Equus, Europa, Europa, and The Decameron. This was the first time I saw either of these, so I'm guessing another round of shipments is underway.
