Definitely a bunch of new MGM titles on display at the Portland Oregon store. Lots more Midnight Movies, lots more Woody Allen.

I saw the following new Woody Allen Titles --
Interiors
Midsummer's Night Sex Comedy
Alice

Also saw --
Slamdance
Thin Blue Line (bringing it up to 3 Errol Morris docs)
Happy Accidents
Mars Needs Women (midnight movies)
Morons from Outer Space (midnight movies)
Serpent's Egg (Bergman/world films)
Planet of the Vampires (midnight movies)
Dr. Phibes Rises Again (midnight movies)
Attack of the Puppet People (midnight movies)
Count Yorga, Vampire (midnight movies)
Locusts (avante garde cinema)
Handmaid's Tale (avante garde cinema)
Spring Forward

Lots more MGM titles in there. That's just what I remember...

For the first time ever the Blue Springs, MO store actually got something. They had two of the big cardboard displays crammed full of movies. Unfortunately, very little good stuff to be had. I was really hoping for a bunch of the Midnight Movies to be there. Anyway, I ended up with...

Bubba Ho-Tep
Needful Things
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
Guys and Dolls (Deluxe Edition)

The first three are for me, but Guys and Dolls is available if anyone is looking for it.

Mine got 2 of the smaller 4-sided MGM displays but no new titles I recall other than "Guys and Dolls". I almost overlooked them as they were partially hidden in a new area.

I'm hoping for an infusion of the other Midnight Movies that have been mentioned, especially the newer listings.

Thanks, guys! Glad to help.

I've updated the Master List tonight and added all of the First Look and MGM titles which have been recently posted (and also added some titles for archival purposes which haven't been seen in a while such as Paramount and Warner titles from the old Big Lots thread).

Just went to Big Lots today for the first time and they didn't have anything worth getting. Only thing I saw was Bubba Ho-Tep and Once Bitten which I'm not in a hurry to get either.

Sorry. I had copied the link from an earlier post I had done and something must have been left out. I fixed the link and it seems to be working okay now.

Bubba Ho-Tep is a great little offbeat b-movie, I highly recommend it.

Finally found some of the new wave titles yesterday. I picked up Eat Drink Man Woman, the claymation Mark Twain, and Nicholas Nickleby for the wife. No box sets. Only new anime titles I saw were Peach Girl: Vol. 1 and a few Dragonball Z titles...but, honestly, I'm not too anxious to start collecting even more series I have no time to watch.

@ScissorPuppy
If I can find a copy of the Brood would you like to trade a Candyman 2:Farwell to the flesh? If not I will still pay you $3 plus shipping for either Candyman or Candyman 2.

Plenty of good stuff currently(4:00pm 07/13/08) at the Big Lots in Kettering, OH at 2800 Wilmington Pike. They have two special stand-up MGM displays just as you walk in the door and they looked pretty much untouched by the public when I was there. When I was checking out, the employee ringing me up kept commenting on the titles she was going to look for herself as she saw my titles. Here is a list of what I got as I take them out the unsorted bags right now-

Hell in the Pacific
Shalako (Western with Sean Connery/Brigitte Bardot)
Chato's Land (Western with Charles Bronson/Jack Palance)
The Crocodile Hunter Collision Course S.E.
A Bucket of Blood
"X" The Man With the X-Ray Eyes
Invasion of the Body Snatchers(1978 version)
The Kentuckian
Swamp Thing
Carrie (hmmm...this says "Standard" format Oh well...)
The Brood
Konga ("Konga attacks!")
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
The Fall of the House of the Usher
The Fog S.E. (1979 version)
Needful Things
Bubba Ho-Tep Collector's edition
The Hallelujah Trail (Burt Lancaster/Lee Remick)
Suppose they Gave a War and Nobody Came
The Amityville Horror Widescreen S.E.(Ryan Reynolds/Melissa George)
The Amityville Horror(James Brolin/Margot Kidder)
Amityville 2: The Possession
The Pink Panther Strikes Again
Revenge of the Pink Panther
Trail of the Pink Panther
A Shot in the Dark
Son of the Pink Panther
The Hound Of the Baskervilles(1978 version)
The Dunwich Horror
Guys and Dolls Deluxe edition (Marlon Brando. Comes with 72 page collectable scrapbook. Amazon sells this for over $20.00)
Once Bitten
Frogs

*Edit to add: They were all priced at $3.00 each....

Sorry, off topic a little bit, anybody who still wants Guys & Dolls DE but couldn't find it at their BL anymore maybe could try their luck to look for at Burlington Coat Factory B&M. Today I saw it at Burlington store at Fairfax, VA (3 pcs left). I know this YMMV things and the price wouldn't as cheap as Big Lots (they sell DVDs mostly at $6.99, included Guys & Dolls DE) but still a lot cheaper /bargain than Amazon (around $ 20).

HTH. Thanks.

Found one big 3-sided display and two square displays at the Rogers Plaza store, Grand Rapids MI. Fairly un-picked-over as of today. Snagged a Guys and Dolls (think I found the only one), Stargate Atlantis, Croc Hunter, Pink Panthers, etc. 11 titles in all.
Delighted to find so many DVD's to search through, by far the most that store has ever had on hand.

Happy Hunting!

Am i missing any Pink Panther flicks that have shown up at Big Lots?

I have gotten:
Curse of the PP
Son of the PP
Trail of the PP
PP Strikes Again
Revenge of the PP

and after someone mentioning it in this thread i went back and found Inspector Clouseau.

Am i missing any from Big Lots?
