Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only.
Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.
https://www.barnesandnoble.com/promo...100045:K7K8F3B
Expiration 12/31/2020 and despite the coupon language is only good for In-store coupon Eligible items.
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016
"New Member" Welcome Coupons appear to be discontinued at least for now

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I'll probably be hitting you guys up for coupons later this week. You've been so good to me in the past.
It'll be doubly good if you can still use the codes to print out an in-store coupon.

I have been out of town for nearly two weeks. Are there any current coupons? If anyone has a couple to share I would be grateful.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Blimey; B&N have more than tripled their shipping charges for international customers with the website revamp - it's plain that they no longer want us. Which is a shame.
Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I haven't used B&N since the last Criterion sale.
That being said, what happened to make their website such ass? I've been unsuccessful in ordering three movies since about 6am EST.
First, I couldn't find the movies I wanted via search. So, I googled them by title and "bn.com."
Loaded up my cart, but then I couldn't access the cart via phone & mobile site. Therefore, I chose the desktop site. That got me to the cart.
I went through the process of trying to order, but my card of choice wasn't the default, but I couldn't pick it. So I opted for PayPal. My PayPal acct "couldn't be confirmed," so the order was cancelled (or not processed).
So I waited to get to work. And everything I did to try to move merch into the cart, log in (esp. to make sure that, yes, they weren't going to process my earlier order), access the cart, etc., redirected me back to the homepage.
I decided to not opt for the PayPal option, since I'd been burned that way already ... but as I was entering my new card info, it kept stating that the "previous billing address" was invalid (noooo, I assure you it isn't). Undaunted, I tried to re-enter the address, and the website is currently processing this option ... it's been processing this option since about 8am EST. It's now 8:36am.
I am beginning to think that sitting this one out might be a great option.
ETA: I just attempted to register a complaint about the website via the online Customer Service option. When I submitted the complaint (more or less a c&p of the above), I got this: "This end point requires that the body of all requests be formatted as JSON. The request was not correctly formatted." Tha fuck?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
BN just rolled out a new web site last week. They apparently got it from rent-a-coder ("We need an Amazon.com clone, budget $500") and did minimal or no testing before going live. You see JSON output that should be consumed by something. You see things like "$12.9" as a dollar amount. I can live with glitches. But I am unable to get member free shipping now. I contacted their support twice, and they basically told me they were not able to do anything. I tried one last time and sent them an e-mail explaining why I was opening an Amazon account. The two reasons were that I no longer get member coupon e-mails and can't get member free shipping - so why be a member? And I got no response at all. BN is alienating their core customers that are keeping them going. I'm one of BN's loyal, long-time customers who has stuck with them long past the point I shouldn't have, buying their membership. If they drive people like me off, then they're not going to be around much longer. They can't sustain operations with foot traffic in their stores, when anyone can order the same merchandise 20-40% off online. The Nook is failing badly. I anticipate this holiday season will be about the end. The Samsung tablet isn't too out of date now, but they'll probably discount it heavily. After that, there aren't enough sales to justify a new 2016-generation Nook. The brand is essentially worthless, or they would have already sold it. I'm pessimistic that BN can pull out of this nosedive. Once people like me leave them, we're not coming back.

Another problem with the new website is it won't take any gift certificates for payment. Checkout page has the option to put in the numbers but nothing happens when you enter the numbers/pin.
Tried it over the last three days, same problem every day.
Hope they fix this since I know a fair number of us buy discounted gc's to use on BN.

I think I'll be waiting for the next 50% sale from Criterion. If B&N wants business, they have an odd way of showing it. The QA staff must have been let go as part of a cost cutting move.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
The hits just keep coming for BN. I just saw this:
http://consumerist.com/2015/07/08/ba...a-week-shrugs/
In fairness, BN did restore my membership on their web site today. (They did not acknowledge my three attempts to get this resolved.)

All of the B&N mp sellers that I've seen sell items that B&N doesn't, for higher than msrp. I guess the article is generalizing based on other listings?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
It sucks that I never get any of the member coupons emailed to me, but I've always had problems with my member account online and never feel like contacting customer service about it. I just end up doing everything in-store anyways, since I've got a really reasonable store close by.

Eek, sorry! Done. Thanks so much for letting me know! That'll teach me to be a lurker -- I've been using this site for years and years and have apparently never posted before now.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I had read last week that some B&N members were having problems using multiple coupons with the new site.
Was that maybe a fluke thing for some?
Any members already place multiple orders this morning with no problems
with the coupons?
