Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only.
Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

Expiration 12/31/2020 and despite the coupon language is only good for In-store coupon Eligible items.
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I see the Doctor Who season 8 blu-ray is now part of the BBC 50% off sale (wasn't when I first checked). So does anyone know how long the sale is good for and whether any more coupons will be available during that time? Unfortunately, it is still a preorder until tomorrow and the current 25% off coupons expires by then.
The 50% discount is respectable in general, but BBC prices it so high to begin with for a single season release that additional discounts are almost a necessity.

Check page one of this thread for current coupons. I added 4 new online coupons last night that range from 25% to 15% off. Another 25% off store/online coupon is coming later in the week. However it's possible there might be a short window tonight to use the current 25% coupon before it expires. You may want to check after midnight ET to see if it goes out of the pre-order status and you can use the coupon. Otherwise wait later in the week for the next 25% coupon to order it.

When I was in store Saturday, I checked the BBC Sale Sign and it absolutely said it was active through 12/15 then the 40% Sale is supposed to start on 12/16
Depends on how late you want to stay up. The coupon code doesn't expire until 3am EST, most of the time the preorders go active sometime between Midnight and 2am EST so you might be able to sneak in an order if you want it immediately
Based on past history I'd think there is a high probability of a coupon of some sort later this week allowing instore purchases. All my previous DW Bluray sets have cost $20-25 (BBY and BBC shop within a year of release) and even 50%/instore10%/with even a 30% coupon that's still $28

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
There is probably no way I can use this 25% coupon on the mister ed set, right? It comes out tomorrow and this coupon expires at 2am my time. I'm assuming the preorder won't switch over at midnight, right?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
more number crunching...
I had planned to pick up three of the December Criterions whenever the 40% or B2G1 sales started.
My plan was to use all the extra $10 GC's towards this.
But now I remember that the 40% off starts (and ends IIRC) before those bonus GCs are activated.
The 40% sale is definitely better than the B2, as that one only comes out to 33% off each one.
So it looks like the best way to go is to buy yet another GC, which would fully cover the three Criterions @40% off. Add the bonus GC to the stash and then just wait till June to use all of them.
I'll just have to hope they don't go out of business, or suddenly close locations or remove any more media departments. I don't have a huge problem buying online- but you do lose that extra 10% off during any regular sale.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
that figures.
oh well. the 40% sale is still better than the B2 so it looks like that's still the way to go.
If i can get away with a $5 off $50 coupon, it'll be worth it.

I got a Christmas card from B&N containing a $10 gift card in the mail today. Ho ho ho.
This came out of the blue, they did not owe me a gift card for anything and I generally get very few coupons from them by mail and virtually none by email. I am a B&N member.

I;m going to possibly correct some bad information. Though a 40% sale is likely starting next Tuesday -- it MAY NOT include DVDs. The last couple years it has been Blurays but not DVDs
I spend so little time with DVDs these days that I don't always remember when one is active but not the other

Luckily, I have no titles on the want list that are BD/DVD this time. I'm going to load up on smaller distributors (Kino, Olive etc) assuming that a percentage coupon or two comes out before Christmas.

Pacing. Fingers crossed that the Doctor Who Series 8 pre-order will switch over in a couple of hours. I need it!
Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
BD = blu-ray I'm guessing?
Strange, I don't really recall that sale in the past, guess I really just went criterion crazy and neglected their sales otherwise.

Thanks to both hariseldon and Laser Movies for all their work and updates! With the 50% sale + 25% coupon + $20 gift card = I ended up paying $16.44 for Doctor Who Series 8!

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Great deal...the pre-order status went away just before 1:00 am, so I was able to include the 25% coupon on top of the 50% sale on BBC titles. As a result, I got the Doctor Who Complete Season 8 Blu-ray discounted from the $90 list price to the final price of $36. Still high for a 13 episode TV season, but a price I can live with considering BBC pricing. Thanks for the suggestion.

I didn't stay up late enough... Hoping for an in-store 20% coupon (or better) this weekend. Coupled with my member discount, it would be slightly better than 25% off online...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
The 25% coupon has expired, but current active coupons are on the first page of the thread. If you want to order the book now you'll have to settle for 20% coupons.
Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Thanks for pointing that out!
I'll wait for a couple days and see if there's a 25% one. Otherwise, I'll pull the trigger with the 20% by Friday. Only a few bucks, but it's always fun to get the BEST deal

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I've noticed that some people in the Criterion 50% off sale thread were having a hard time finding titles in-store and I would like to inform those people that you can drop by a B&N and order titles to store (without paying up front) and they will hold them for 2 weeks. So... If you go in now and order what you want to pick up during the 40% off sale (starting the 16th) they should be waiting for you behind the counter on the 16th when the sale starts. I would also check the stores that have dropped their video departments and see if you can still make this work for you. I just did this with Time Bandits, Safe, The Night Porter and Tootsie.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Part of me wanted to use the coupon for the British TV sale but since you're limited to the "most expensive item" in your order and most of the British TV stuff I still want/need is under $25 I went for Mister Ed The Complete series. It came out to just over $80 with tax, a $15 savings over the Amazon price.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Does the 40% off BD sale go past Christmas, or is the 24th the last day? I ask because I'd love to use the bonus $10 gift cards which aren't valid until the 26th. I will have 8 of them...
Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Its annoying that the 50% off British TV sale does not include the blu ray of the Dr. Who Matt Smith years box set. It shows as only 25% off on the website.
