Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Man, that Complete Doctor Who set is pretty impossible to find in-stock at B&N. Been looking for it for several days. Warehouse for my region has none in stock (I don't know if they have multiple warehouses or not). Only store that had it is an hour from here. I was able to order it and have it shipped to me for $3.99 (NOT free for members when shipped from a store). Got my member discount, and was able to use the $8 member coupon. They couldn't apply the $5 one on top of it. I know we have 25/30% coupons coming, but they wouldn't hold it for me beyond today. They've had several people calling about it, and had a waitlist going. I had to bite the bullet and pay $161.92, but it's still totally worth it. I will sell off my other sets to help finance it. In the long run, I don't think it will cost me much out of pocket.

I'll say... that's a great deal.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I can't seem to pm yet (maybe I'm too new here?), but if anybody can spare a 20% or 25% coupon, it would be greatly appreciated. I have a few more items to pick up for gifts and a coupon would help a lot. Thanks if anybody can help.

I'll take my spot in line for a coupon request. B&N simply will not email me a coupon. I'm hoping to grab Orphan Black, Nashville and Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion. Thanks.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

May not have to do any coupon begging this week. I found a 25% off generic coupon valid online and at stores. However I'm still not sure about the 30% coupon. There are some issues with that one that make me question if one is coming and if it is another coupon that is removed by B&N in about a week. They may just go with a single 25% coupon for all customers.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Hi
I'm having a problem with the new code, FRIENDNFAM ,
It looks like the same code they used a few months ago and it is coming up with a error message that I have already used the code. I did use it back then. Anyone else having a similar problem?

I must not have used it since the code is working for me. Maybe they will reset all accounts tonight to accept it since I posted it a little before the official start time.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I actually used the 25% coupon in the store today. Then after I got home I realized it said it wasn't even valid until the 12th. I think some of the more knowledgable cashiers just key something in that accepts the coupon regardless of the fine-print.

Can you use the 25% coupon for the Criterion B1G1 sale? I couldn't use it online, but will it work in store?

How would that work? They scan membership at 10 %, coupon at 25 % to get a Criterion down to $ 27 and then throw in another one for free? Seems like that would take plenty of "register massage".

Unless you have a family member working the till, I highly doubt that will work. But kudos to anyone who can get it done.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

The code,FRIENDNFAM , is the same one BN issued in early Oct2013. If you used it then it doesn't work now, even on a membership account. I could only get it to work on some account I hadn't used in over a year. Paid membership makes even less sense if BN is going to start reusing old coupon codes that you can't ever reuse. It's bad enough their emails never come thru.

With Criterion sales it's always a huge ymmv they will accept coupons at a store. At least your odds of success are better than online.

Count me in as a success. They would only take one coupon, but one coupon was all that was required to get Nashville and Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion for $27 plus tax.

I plan on giving the 25% coupon a try tomorrow with the sale. I have Autumn Sonata and Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion on reserve for pick up.

Too bad the 30% coupon didn't pan out. Was hoping at least the mobile site would get it working. I miss the 40% off coupon SOOOOOOO much...

As of 6PM EST the coupon is working online for those accounts that had used the FriendNFam code back in Oct.

Thanks for the heads-up. I tried to order Orphan Black earlier today and the coupon would not work. I was going to get it in-store, but the cashier only allowed me to use a single coupon(used it on a Criterion BOGO). I live too far away from the store for a return trip, so an online order is the only way to go.

Picked up 2 blu-rays under $30 after taxes with 10% off member and 25% off coupon. 2nd transaction 2 blu-rays go very well. Will pick up more tomorrow. Not sure they have extra 30% & 40% off again next 50% off sale!

So far!

I haven't shopped at B&N for a while. Have they discontinued ordering on line for in store pick up? I don't see an option to check store inventory. Am I missing it? Thanks

I don't recall them ever having that ability. You can submit online to have something held in store, but you aren't ordering or paying for the item online. You have to pay in-store... Perhaps that's what you meant...
Next to the Add to Cart button is a Pick-Up in Store button. Some titles don't have this ability, typically new releases for the first week...
