Best thing to do is buy Heaven's Gate now with 30% off, rent it from Netflix or similar to see if you like it, and if not you can return the unopened disc within two weeks.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Got Heaven's Gate using the $8 off coupon without issue. Gonna fire it up tomorrow, if I hate it, I can probably sell it on amazon for $20 and make some money on it, hopefully I don't have to go that route though. Thumbs up to the cashier who was okay with making the coupon work even though after discount it was below $40.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Never heard of this movie, but great cast! I love the comment from Amazon's Editorial review:
"Anyway you look at it, this is a mess better viewed as a curiosity than anything else."
I think I'm gonna pass on this, but perhaps rent one day...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I guess B&N changed their mind on the cyber Monday 25% coupon. With the day half over have not seen any sign of it. Oh well that should end any temptation to order anymore Criterions before the sale ends.

Next coupons are due around December 6. Looks like there is going to be a member 25% coupon and a non-member 20% coupon for that week.

25% Off One Item Coupon Details:

This coupon can be redeemed online at BN.com and is valid once per customer, per billing address.

This coupon is valid from November 26, 2012 at 12:01am to November 27, 2012 at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time.

The 25% discount will be applied to the most expensive eligible item in the order - not the entire purchase - and will be deducted after all other eligible discounts are applied.

Additional Rules Governing Use of this Coupon: This coupon is (i) not redeemable for cash or cash equivalents (including Gift Cards and eGift Cards); (ii) not valid on past purchases; (iii) not eligible for purchases of the following products and services: Barnes & Noble Memberships, Gift Cards, eGift Cards, gift-wrapping, textbooks, digital content (including but not limited to NOOK Books(TM), NOOK Magazines(TM), NOOK Newspapers, and NOOK Periodicals), NOOK ® devices, NOOK Accessories that are already discounted, other hardware and electronics, software, products available for pre-order, products from the Rosetta Stone Series, or products marked as not eligible for "coupons or promotional discounts," (iv) not valid on purchases made from third parties accessible from the BN.COM website (e.g., used books, etc.); (v) not valid on applicable sales tax or shipping or handling expenses; (vi) may not be combined with any other coupon or promotional discount; and (vii) may not be combined with the Educator program discount. This coupon is not valid at Barnes & Noble retail bookstores or Barnes & Noble College Bookstores. Void where prohibited by law.

This offer is subject to change or discontinuation without notice; we will, however, honor properly placed orders with valid methods of payment with sufficient funds placed prior to such change or discontinuation. Barnes & Noble is not responsible for typographical or pictorial errors.

Members keep an eye on your snail mail. Today I received a mailer with B&N member coupons. Included are a couple of 20% off codes which are good through 12/24.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Thanks for the heads up -- hopefully I get the mailer as the codes should come in rather handy provided the British television DVDs go on sale. Of course I can always find a few books.

They are unique, one time use codes for members only. I'll post mine if I decide not to use them.

About time I was able to get Torchwood: Miracle Day on Blu-ray for half price. Is this sale in store as well? There's about a half-dozen old series Doctor Who stories I need on DVD...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Aww man, I'm a bit disappointed it looks like mainly the pre-90s sets for Last of the Summer Wine are on sale. Everything 1992 and later seems to be full price -- don't think I've picked up Vintage 1991 yet though so at least there's one set I may get. There is still a lot of classic Doctor Who I'd like to pick up, so at least there's other nice options in the sale.

It's a terrible shame there hasn't been a proper release of Dad's Army for North America yet -- what little I've seen looks great.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

If you can go all-region, the "complete" Dad's Army (there are 3 episodes missing) is currently going for £18.25 at Amazon UK.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Guess I should cancel my online B&N preorder for the Qatsi Trilogy ($43.49 w/tax) and wait for the 40%-off Blu-Ray sale in-store? Should work out to just under $37.58 w/tax if the 20%-off member coupons stack with the sale. Save six bucks and no worries about having the set banged up in those crappy plastic bags they use for shipping.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

New coupons are up but this week they are going with unique codes. So if you receive email offers from B&N look for a valid online or printable store coupon in your email starting tomorrow.

So then it looks like these coupons will expire before the 40% sale begins.
