Yep got a few - so 40 % off blu ray plus another % 15 is about % 49 off blu. That seems ok, I guess. Better than a punch in the groin anyways.

I am going to combine these with 10% in-store member discount and 5% AmEx OPEN cashback for an effective ~57% off.

B&N added coupon restrictions for the sale. When I checked a blu-ray title on sale I found the following message.

This item does not qualify for coupons or promotional discounts unless expressly stated.

Right - but I read the restrictions fine print and I didn't see anything about a restriction. I used to work at a BN so I knew to check for this.

I received a one use 15% coupon from Barnes and Noble today. It did not work on line for the Warner Classic Gangster blu ray set (This item does not qualify for coupons or promotional discounts unless expressly stated) but it did work in store. Final cost $25.49 plus tax. It would have been 10% cheaper if I were still a member. Who knows if BN will spot this and program their in store computers to reject coupons used with the sale items.

It looks like items part of the 40% off sale cannot have the coupon applied to them at all.

The item I referred to in my post above yours is part of the 40% off sale and my coupon worked in store but not on line.

Not being able to use coupons online is a real slap in the face to those who don't have a store nearby. Very unfair.
