I really have no idea how they pick which email addresses to send to, which is why I'm hoping Laser's 20% off code for next week is a generic digit code one and not a one use only code.

Will this 20% off code be B&N members only? I had a trail membership earlier this year but I let it lapse. Being from Australia means I can only use online codes and these seem to be few and far between even just a 15% one would offset shipping costs. I really hope the next codes are a generic for every one type. I've set my account to receive emails from B&N but even though I've purchased Criterion's over the last 3yrs from them during all the sales I still never receive emails from them :(

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
In case it hasn't been said yet, the BN Buzz $5 coupon expired 11/1. I used it on 11/1 without issue. I tried to use it on 11/2 and the clerk read her screen to me: Coupon expired 11/1 11:59pm
Unfortunately I only got to use it once this time around. :( |
Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I get 14 coupons (don't ask how) - all 14 were 15% off. :(

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I received a surprise 15 percent off in my email from bn.com and I just placed an order. BN.com removed the coupon from my order and charged me full price. How come they keep doing this? I don't hear others have this experience that much. Or do they? Luckily I could still cancel. I hope more coupons are forethcoming as I want to buy in store.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I went to my local store Friday with my 20% surprize coupon. I tried to buy the Criterion Rules of the Game. The attendant said it would not work. He looked at my coupon where it said that it was not good with other offers, but he thought so many items were discounted it couldn't mean that. He called a manager and there was nothing she could do. I said I did not want the item, and he had to ask the manager to come void the sale (he said that he used to have that ability himself but no more). I then picked up Dragnet Season 2, which was marked at 40% off already. I asked him to try it with my coupon, and the manager agreed, and the coupon worked, so I went ahead an purchased it remarking that maybe it was just the Criterion that was causing trouble. The attendant remarked that, if it had not been a surprise coupon, he could simply enter it manually, without needing the computer to verify it. However, because it was a surprise coupon, that would not work. Hopefully, the new 20% off coupons are not specifically coded.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
The coupon was still good when I placed my order and this was one of multiple times they have done this to my orders. I did use it in store before it expired.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I just received an email from B&N regarding this year's gift card promotion. Buy $75 in gift cards now and you'll receive a $10 gift card to use starting Dec. 26th. I think last year you had to buy $100 in gift cards...
The fine print: Spoiler:

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
If one buys the $75 Gift-Card in stores, how and when does the bonus $10 Gift-Card get delivered?
