Thanks for the great advice regarding REPULSION and BEAUTY/BEAST.

I signed up at that cashback place which dare not speak its name and if the $10 B&N Gift Card comes through, I will apply it toward BEAUTY along with my mystery coupon. Ya gotta love this sale! It's been fantastic seeing everyone get deals.

If you cancel the transaction after finding out the amount of the discount in-store, can you still use the code on a different item? I'd hate to blow a 30% or 50% on an already cheap DVD/blu. And I don't have any experience with these particular coupons.

You can test the coupon discount online by adding something to your cart and then end the process once it displays the reduced price. Delete the item and you're good to go.

You most likely wont get the gift card in time to use for the sale...atleast that was my experience.

You can check the coupon value either online, or at a cash register at a B&N store. The value should be the same since the online and store coupons use the same code. I won't go into how to check it online since another post below yours covers it. However as long as you don't complete the purchase the coupon would still be valid to use.

We should expect to receive a code by email?

Yes! Because each coupon sent has its own unique code you need to be signed up and receiving email solicitations from B&N to get one.

Because I was able to make the bulk of my purchases during b2g1 I anticipate having some extra coupons to give away to anyone that needs one, or didn't receive one.

I never get coupons, despite having signed up multiple times!!

LASER - If you wouldn't mind sharing one or two, I would make good use of on the Whit Stillmans. Thanks!

I just signed up for a membership a couple of days ago and made sure to put down to receive e-mails, but I'm not sure if newer registered members get the coupons before the two month free membership is up.

Laser, I'd love a coupon if at all possible. Appreciated. When do they usually go out in e-mail to know? Early morning day of start date? Or earlier? Tonight?

I may need two or three coupons but whatever is left over I will probably give away as long as they are not for 50% off. Of course I know that's not going to happen. I expect I will be lucky to get some for 20% off. Until I get them I don't know how many I will have to spare. I will let you know tomorrow.

I don't know when the coupons will start going out but would imagine very early in the morning after 12 am ET. It shouldn't matter if you have a membership or not to receive coupons, but sometimes it can be a challenge to get them. I don't understand why B&N makes it so difficult to get their emails.

Doesn't this mystery coupon expire before the Stilman movies come out? That's what I would use it for.

I had my latest problem with BN.com I'm like the Charlie Brown customer with this place. I placed exactly one order during the overlapping sales. I had 2 gift cards. The site kept saying my gift cards were declined. So I called them last night and the lady said they fixed it. Will it took away my free video and raised the price to 65 dollars. I only had 50 dollars in gift cards on the order and no other payment. It was supposed to be 44. I may skip calling them and just pay 50 off the cards if they don't charge me more.
Last time I had to go to the better business bureau with them. And 6 months after filing my complaint they said they were sorry and gave me an extra 50 dollars in gift cards. I may just take the 6 dollars out of that. I have a problem with bn.com every couple months if I use them.

Guys, I wanted to get "Le Havre" which will be released on the 31st.

Anybody know on how to get it with 50% off sale price? Overlapping online order maybe?

I hope everyone is grabbing eCodes from Plastic Jungle for 16%. If you go through TopCashBack you get another 4% off. That's almost 20% off (0.84*0.96) before any coupons. While you don't have to, I'd appreciate it if you use my referral link if you are going to sign up for TopCashBack. Please PM as I'm not sure it's allowed to post it here.

You can't. Only titles released before or during the sale period qualify. And Le Havre comes out 1 day after the sale is over. Your only, very slim, hope is to go to a store and see if a clerk will place a ship to home for you at the 50% off. And of course, there's always the next Criterion sale.

If you have a Discover Card you can convert your Rewards to B&N gift cards with a 10% savings: $45 of rewards for a $50 card (e-card or physical card). I use my Discover for everything and right before the Criterion sale starts I convert all the Rewards to B&N cards. I've done this twice a year for the past 3 years.
I timed it perfectly this time as my cards arrived Monday afternoon, just in time for the B2G1 overlap.

TCP is showing as 7.5 for me.

TCB for PlasticJungle is at 4%. Interestingly the B&N page on TCB does not exclude GCs. Has anyone got cash back from a GC purchase?

Yes I've received cash back on GC purchases made at B&N before. Not from TCB but have from other web sites that offer cash back. I would assume you probably could also get it at TCB. Best time to take advantage of it is when B&N has their annual Christmas GC promotion. Every Christmas they usually will give you a free $10 eGC when you purchase $100 in GCs. I've always been able to earn cash back on top of the promotion. Last year besides the free $10 eGC I picked up $13 more in cash back and a rebate with my B&N Mastercard.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I didn't mean GC purchases, I meant purchases made by GCs. That way you can double dip - go through TCB to PlasticJungle and buy gift cards for nearly 20% off, then go through TCB to B&N, use coupon codes and the gift cards and get another 7.5% cashback.

Well if you're near a store you might be able to talk them into making an exception of ordering it for you at 50% off. I pulled this off once when the America Lost and Found set was coming out near the end of an earlier Criterion sale. It doesn't hurt to ask. However it's definitely a long shot but you have nothing to lose if they say no.
