Yes, but he gave a lot of great suggestions and the way he posted/listed it was excellent.

Well, I did wind up making 2 orders so far.

With DVDTALK :

Jillina's Bellydance Choreography Box Set Vol. 1-3 - the NEW one, not the other 3 Volume set from 5 years ago. This is $45 at the very least everywhere else, even as high as $120 at one store (way overpriced) , but I got it for $28 with tax after the 20% off.

With SUPERSALE :

Jillina's Shape Up n' Hip Out. (a bellydance workout) Yeah, it's for beginners & I'm no beginner, but I love Jillina. It's $12 - $15 depending where you go for it, and with 20% off it came to just over $7 with tax.

ok, and I just went on a workout binge.

Using USATODAY :

Gilad Cuts & Curves
Gilad Power & Grace (backordered)
Gilad 45/45 Split Routine (backordered)
Gilad Weight Loss & Toning Program

I wanted Gilad's Express Workouts too, but alot of that is the same stuff that's on alot of his other DVDs & the cardio is kickboxing - I hate kickboxing.

Oh, I also ordered Star Trek Voyager Season 4 from Amazon, and Luscious Bellydance Workout from Amazon also.

Wow, you really are fit, lissa.

Reading about all those workout DVDs is exhausting. Off to the fridge now, to find something to eat.

This may be the least I ever bought at one of these.

Picked up Frisky Dingo and Greg the Bunny Vol 2. The other dozen things on my list had the prices jacked up so much once that sale started that it really wasn't worth buying them. I'll just wait to get them down the road.

Honey, that's like .9999997% of my collection. Not even a full 1%. If you saw my fitness DVD collection, and saw how many I use a day - sometimes doing some workout DVDs back to back just cuz I have so much fun plus needing to keep up stamina & strength for my dancing - such as doing a cardio DVD, a strength, DVD, and then yoga before bed most nights, PLUS I don't even count when I use a dance DVD for my practice some days or to learn a new choreography rather than choreographing my own dance (which I can do & have done many times), not to mention dance class & performances........ you would get worn out. LOL

Perhaps I should take some pics of my collection & post them. OH, and my many many many CDs that I use for dancing practice or in class or performances, etc... (well, most of these CDs are from MP3s I downloaded, although some were bought in store or at dance seminars & such... )

Methinks I shall go take some pics. I'd love to see your response to that. tee hee

While you're waiting, here's a couple of pics from a show I was in this past April : http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2396/...c1edde.jpg?v=0
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3195/...21631e.jpg?v=0

To get back on topic, though, my Jillina Choreography box set has shipped already.

Interesting... I ordered the Human Weapon complete season #1 and while it is still in my order I can't find it on the site any more. I noticed it was "In Stock" until the night before the sale, then it went out of stock and now it's gone entirely (at least I can't find it). Anyone else order this? Just curious....

Doesn't "Backorder" mean that it's not in stock, therefore not shipping?

I only ordered the Dirty Harry: UCE for $43.90 and Macon County Line for $5.80. I'll probably make one more order (for The Rat Pack: UCE set) and that'll be it. I've really been scaling back on my purchases as of late. My unwatched pile is set to mutate into something heinous and devour me at any moment.

The guy in charge of Deep Discount has said that they will keep replenishing HD-DVD stock unless the studio discontinues them (and at that point they'll remove it from the site). I'm just not sure about Hot Fuzz, considering it's a hot title (and even costs less than the standard one-disc DVD).

The site is currently showing John Adams at $43.61 ($34.89 after discount, which is still an excellent price).

Now, I didn't check yesterday since I had already pre-ordered from the BN B2G1 sale at about $27, but $15 cheaper than the current price would have made DD's starting price at $28.61...or only $22.89 after the discount).

If that was the case, then John Adams was the steal of the sale. It just seems unlikely that they would sell a just-released set retailing at $59.99 for only $22.89 (unless someone made a serious pricing error).

<Edit> I just looked at the DVDTalk review for JA and the comparison pricing chart at the bottom. It lists JA at $37.99...are you sure that the price didn't jump $5 rather than $15?

So, today I got the official e-mail from Deepdiscount that they will be unable to reorder the Star Trek HD dvd from the manufacturer, or whoever they purchase them from, and my card will not be charged. Since my order was officially cancelled, I went ahead and ordered from amazon.ca, and even with a small bump in shipping for quicker shipping, it cost less than $62.00 Canadian $$$...and was listed as in stock w/expected shipping date of 06/12, so sweet!

I recommend folks grab em (Star Trek HDs) from Amazon.ca while they still can, suspect it will be more expensive/out of stock even on amazon.ca in a matter weeks.

Still love DD, and looking forward to picking up Burn Notice from them next week.

And what are the odds it'll come back into stock before the 22nd?
BTW, both Best Buy and Amazon have each season of TWW for under $20 each. That is significantly cheaper than DD.

Creekdipper, it was $34.99 before the 20% yesterday. Today, I thought it was $48.99 but it might have been 43.99 so my math might have been a bit off but still at least $9 in one day.
