Does dvdempire have really high shipping? If not I'll probably just get everything from there.
Edit: Or is it DVDplanet that has the rival 20% off sale?

DVDEmpire has free shipping if you purchase 3 or more DVDs.

I was thinking about picking up The Last Emperor, but then I read that it will be coming out on CC blu-ray in October, which may address the compression issues with the TV version. (of course this means that I will also need a blu-ray player )
I am planning on picking up Postwar Kurosawa, and maybe The Thief of Bagdad . Too bad DD doesn't have The Three Stooges Collection 2 (1937-1939).
Edit: I see that The Three Stooges Collection 2 (1937-1939) is now available. Cool!

I am really going to try and pace myself this time, I usually make a big order day one, another one a few days later, and then one or two more towards the end. This time, I am going for two at max. This might be my last one with Deep Discount, planning on selling some of my shelf clutter to DVD Planet in a few months and live off the credit for the Nov sale.
Trev- Postwar Kurosawa and the Thief of Baghdad are two of my considerations as well

Edit1: Ok. I'm not crazy. Digitaleyes.net and DVDPlanet.com merged on April 1, 2006.
I'll have to research the Digitaleyes.net / DDD relationship. If they were sister sites, then I'm not sure what the DDD / DVDPlanet relationship is? First cousins?
Edit2: Seymouru beat me to it. Infinity Resources owns both companies.

DeepDiscount and DVDPlanet are owned by the same parent company, Infinity Resources, Inc. (IRI), but are operated as separate businesses.
IRI launched DeepDiscountDVD in 2001. They subsequently bought DVDPlanet and Digital Eyes and merged them into one site, adopting the DVDPlanet brand but using most of Digital Eyes' staff and software.

Hey, I thought some of you might like to know Deep Discount lowered their HD-DVD prices a little bit. It's not much, but combined with the 20% off sale it might make some of the titles worth purchasing. A lot of them that were $12.20 (I think) are now $11.98. Some of the HD-DVD/DVD Combo ones are at this price now too and were previously around $18 a piece.
I'm planning on ordering quite a few titles myself with the sale.

Cart Limitations
Just a quick question about deepdiscount I tried to add more then 5 movies to my cart but it said We have a security limitation of 5 items in your shopping cart. Does this mean during the sale we cant add more then 5 at a time? Thats really gonna piss me off.

Please don't talk about price increases and decreases in this thread.
