Did you know this is coming to Blu-ray in North America later this year? If you wait a bit you can probably get it for more or less the same price (not counting the wonderful 20% off you'd get with the DVD version...)

Yay! I already have a list of what I want to get, and since I'm getting paid on Friday I should actually have enough to get it all.

Did anyone else get the "e-mail"?? This is a week's+ advance notice on the sale. Perhaps someone at DD screwed up and it went out early.

BTW, you can get 4% cashback at DD from Microsoft's new shopping portal:

http://search.live.com/cashback/stores

or DD link(and follow the instructions)

https://ssl.search.live.com/cashback/go?c=152427

As far as I know, it is the only portal that offers cash back from DD, minimum $5 for payout though, so you'll have to shop there again(or at another retailer) to get your money, if you are just placing a small order. But definitely makes sense for larger orders. They also offer higher percentages for some other retailers, e.g. B+N is 6%.

Well it was CheapyD that got the email. Maybe it's some insider news.

Just a friendly reminder if you threadcrap, you are getting suspended. If you dislike DD, keep it to yourself or POST IT IN THE STORE FORUM!!!!!!!!!! - WE'RE NOT TRYING TO CENSOR YOU NOR DO WE HAVE ANY HIDDEN AGENDA - WE JUST DON'T WANT IT IN THE SALE THREADS!!!!

They will not be tolerated in the 20% off threads. It's a real simple request. Thank you!

Get on your mark, get set and.............................................(on 6/6) Go!

I'll be ordering from someone; either DD or DvdP where I have credit waiting. It looks as if DvdPlanet no longer sells used DVDs. I wonder what they do with all the used ones they buy.

Yeah, I was surprised to see the sale coming already. I'm so used to seeing a bunch of threads asking when they start a month leading up to the sale. But this sale seems a bit earlier than normal, but maybe I'm just crazy. Is this the first time the sale was announced without people asking when it started?

Seems about right on schedule compared with the last 2 June sales. Started on June 1 last year although we had the "official" announcement a day prior and the codes began working on afternoon of May 31. I remember the 2006 sale starting around the 7th or 8th of June.

Rewrap them and sell them as new.

Will the sale work on HD-DVD's? If so, I might bite on the $12 titles...

I always pick up 1 or 2 boxsets I've been meaning to get. I just hope they include books in the sale, or have a corresponding price drop

Usually things are not as hectic on the site for the summer sale, compared to the November one

Sweet. Might pickup some HD-DVD, Blu Ray and box sets, As long as they don't mysteriously bump up the prices like they do at these 20% sales.

once it's announced via an insider, that's normally when the thread starts.

The Mishima is listed as "Temporarily Sold Out." Doesn't DVDPlanet include out of stock items in the sale?

Good question. This is my first DD sale with HDM. Do HDM titles qualify for the sale? I want Weed S3 on Blu-ray!

This is my first DD sale with noooo money, and can't really use the credit card (that's for food!). So I'll be getting nothing. If I can get my stuff sent to DVDP and get the credit in time I'll getting a few things.
