Can someone please explain to me about this whole Robotech/Macross saga with respect to all the available DVD sets/individual volumes/collections available?

I have the Proculture Set in front of me, is this the ENTIRE thing? Plus, what's the relationship between "Robotech" and "Macross"? If "Macross" is something like Robotech 2, then why not simply call it Robotech 2, or something to that extent?

And what the heck is this "Robotech Masters" thing? What is this Robotech "New Generations" thing? "Macross Saga"?
(NOTE: I have not seen a single episode of either Robotech or Macross)

Robotech is the combination of the three shows, Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada. They dubbed them, changed enough of the story and used a hammer to fit them together into an 85 episode series to run in syndication.

On the Robotech Front, The Protoculture collection is the the best most complete set you can get currently.

Has anyone place an order for the coupon/insert/dvd case through rightstuf, and received the product?

(1) I was wondering if the $5.00 coupon is valid for retail stores (i.e. Best Buy, FYE, Suncoast) and valid dates.
(2) Is the insert/dvd artwork the same as the retail volume 1 version?
(3) Whatever happened to ADV simply giving those volume 1 cases out for free (or am I mistaken?)
