Hmm. Certainly not the same as the last B2G1, but a lot of the same titles with some new ones mixed in! Too bad that those Weeds sets are nowhere nearly as cheap as the were and J&R a few weeks back...

I've been waiting and waiting for an Amazon sale like this, yet there's no title here that I want (that I don't already have).

Damn it! I just ordered 4 BRs, the 4 at the top of the promotion. Damn damn damn! It is currently enroute, so it is kinda hard to cancel now. I am just going to have to refuse shipment. I tried calling and telling them, but they would rather have me refuse shipment then just send me two more. The pricing is different, too. But, it is only a $10 dollar difference. Heck, I will happily pay $10 dollars for 2 BRs.

Just get a price adjustment.

Two definite must haves for me, Run Lola Run and Life of Brian...took The Fifth Element as the freebie (it was either this or Closer, so I blindly went with Besson)

They jacked the prices up on the Anchor Bay horror titles by a buck.

That was included in the last B2G1 sale. I remember because I bought two and made up for the cost of it selling the extra on Half.com. :banana:

BTW, Revenge is absolutely fantastic in its trimmed down form, a lean, mean morality tale that is one of Tony Scott's strongest efforts. Haven't seen the theatrical, but I loved this one.

Looks like they raised the prices on Fifth Element from $15 to $20 IIRC.

I tried calling them and asking them for some kind of help with it. They said they could credit me $10 bucks for the trouble, but they refused to add any titles. Now, the price of TFE and BHD were both $14.95, so this is going to cost me 10 bucks more. But I get two more BR's for that price. Oh well, I guess I am going to just refuse shipment. How is Amazon with refunding a refused shipment?

try sending an e-mail instead of calling. if you get denied with the first e-mail, send another one.

that's exactly what i did the last time there was a B2G1 and i had just ordered two of the titles from the list. i had to send two e-mails, but the second time they told me to order the third title, send them the order number, and then they immediately refunded me the full amount.

Wow. Not ONE of the 30 Blu-Ray titles I have on my wishlist is in this promotion. Granted, 10 of those are pre-orders, but c'mon! If two of them were on there, I probably would have found one more to order.

Cool, didn't know about the $5 off 50 with the Amazon card. That might help convince me to get Blade Runner and some others. Tempted to get Troy.

I've never heard so many people complain about a sale before. I don't understand the logic in that. These BOGO, etc. threads always seem to turn into a whiningfest- I already paid more, they don't have the ones I want on sale, etc. Sorry, perhaps they should consult with you on the next sale. This thread would be half as long without those posts. Just a thought. :confused:

for the record, my arbitrary comment was not meant as a complaint, but just an observation. i'm genuinely confused by the set of titles in this sale. there are some really spectacular releases like Blade Runner, Pan's Labyrinth, etc and then there are things like A View from Space with Heavenly Music. there is no common theme, common studio, or any other connecting point, besides the fact that they're all BDs. it's a little bit odd.

I tried that, and got a "we can't help you" run around. So, I am on my second letter. We will see! Thanks for the advice, though. I will just have to refuse the package when it comes. It is a shame though. I wanted to see Blade Runner on BR....

I agree with that. That is very strange. The sales are usually done by studio. Seems like a bit of everything in this sale. Weird. -screwy-
