Just got this email. I did it last time and cleared out a bunch of CDs and a few DVDs I didn't really watch too often. Got a check for just under $200. This time I think I'll trade in a few of the games I got from Blockbuster in that 5 for $25 mishap.

Has anyone done this before? How do you ship the DVDs to the company?

Stick them in a box and send them "media mail" rate. It's very inexpensive.

Nice, thanks! Looks like I've got about $159 in CDs and DVDs to send in and this will bring it up to $190.

Very nice. I just got this email too. I have never used SecondSpin but do have about $200 or so of DVDs I want to unload. However, I have hundreds of CDs from ages ago that I really have no need for, but SecondSpin doesn't seem to accept them as they were all bought from England (I assume that is why no UPCs are being found at least). Does anybody have any idea where I might be able to unload some import CDs. I know I won't get much (expecting about $1-$2 each for them as they are really old and really bad) but anything would be better than nothing. Thanks...

It's not just you.

Which is why I laughed when I read this: "since SecondSpin.com pays the most for your Used CDs, DVDs & Games, that's a lot of cash!" Yeah, right.

Some import cds might be worth selling on ebay...collector nerds like to have multiple pressings of one disk is there is a uk bonus track or something.

Search ended auctions and see if anything is worth listing.

Oh and i agree the trade values, at the least the ones I checked, are retarded cheap. I could get more at hastings and I could get way more on ebay.

.50 cents for a cd and 12 bucks for a ps3 game....who are they kidding?

25 for Bioshock, 17 for Forza 2, 20 for NCAA Football, and 17 for Gears of War

With bonus, I'd get $100. I paid $20 for those four from Blockbuster.

Not sure if I want to trade in NCAA yet though.

From what I've seen, I can't get much at all, if anything, for any of the stuff I've got on eBay. So this is definitely my only option.

Values for used CDs on eBay have taken a huge tumble in the last 2 years or so. There just aren't that many bidders any more.

Anything still in-print, even many imports, just doesn't bring in that much money. Good news for buyers - bad news for sellers.

What's the normal turnaround time on payment? I sent a big package over a week ago media mail (yeah, I know it's slow) and am still waiting for it to process.

^ When I've sent to them, it took about a week to get a paypal payment from them. Of course, my package was shipped first class so it only took 2 days to get there.

This would be awesome if they did it in store. I need some cash for Guitar Hero 3 and have a stack of DVDs to get rid of.

can the code be used more than once (i may need to do smaller orders because of the shipping boxes i have--and would like to get reimbursement for each package)?

Does Second Spin reimburse shipping costs? I've only sent them a couple of things over the years but don't recall that being the case.
