I was at my local Suncoast, and on their Anime Sunday flyer, they had, written at the bottom "Geneon and Funimation BOGO" So, does anyone who's a bit braver than I want to ask if that means that only Geneon and Funimation dvds are BOGO, or does the flyer refer to all anime dvds? (Cause if it's the former, who cares about Anime Sunday?)

I have seen 2 versions of these ANIMANIA flyer. Both of them say "hundreds of anime DVDs Buy 1 Get 1 Free." If your local store wrote something different on the white note space on the bottom, it may that they are running a different promotion.

so if i pre-ordered Death Note Vol. 4 LE from FYE.com...and I did so on 2/18/2008, would I still be eligible for the rebate offer? Cuz it says the offer is valid if purchased between 3/1 and 5/12/2008...but I won't receive it til the end of April most likely...so what can I do to get the rebate?

man that sux...so of course FYE does the rebate and then CORRECTS their mistake...i may just cancel my order and get Vol. 3 and 4 at the B1G1 Animania deal..it is confirmed that all anime (unless otherwise posted) is going to be B1G1 right?

(As far as I know) it's only for TWEC stores that are running these ANIMANIA event that will have these promotions. I'm not sure if the non-participating stores will be running this B1G1 promotion. When in doubt, call your local store(s).

DN 4 doesn't come out until April 29, so you'll have to hope that FYE breaks street date. Regarding rebates, I've submitted rebates in the past where I preordered it before the rebate period. They declared the rebate invalid. I sent them a follow-up email stating that I submitted all of the required paperwork for the rebate and that I would appreciate it if they would declare the rebate as valid and process it. They always email back that because I'm a valued customer(blah, blah, blah), they will process the rebate. You could also place a new order for DN 4 now, print out the order confirmation email and then cancel this order. Then use the new order confirmation, with the valid date circled, when you submit the rebate.

So I recently purchased the Neon Genesis Set at BB during the sale. Besides this, I have noted that there is the Platinum Perfect Collection in the Metal Tin and that this set contains the bonus discs from the Platinum Releases.

On Amazon I have noticed that the End of Evangelion and the older 2-Disc Set of End of Evangelion/Death & Rebirth cost a hefty sum. Is there any reason for this, or is there any content on these discs that wouldn't be included in the Perfect Tin Collection?

End of Evangelion / Death & Rebirth are licensed by Manga Entertainment and not ADV Films. As of late 2007, the 2-disc set went OOP and that is why the asking price for this is very high. And as the moment, we don't know if Manga Ent. has lost the license or not.

Just in case you don't know, Columbia House has He-Man Season 1, Volume 1, Season 1, Volume 2, Season 2, Volume 1 and Season 2, Volume 2. With the various BOGO codes(these are sets, so they would have to be the paid part of the BOGO) and if they ever brought back the now legendary B1, G4 free code, CH should be the best overall deal.
