I bet you the stock just hasn't been put out. Next week, after the sale is over...the boxes are found.

And, who knows, this might be done on purpose just to get people in the stores.

If the titles from ADV Films (i.e., Neon Genesis Evangelion), older titles will take longer to get replenished. Quite a few of the ADV titles listed on BestBuy.com are listed as backorderded. ADV is still trying to get their new/recent releases all straighten out. These titles will likely get a higher priority from ADV until everything is in order.

This was mentioned on last month's thread though it looks like I forgot to put it on the first post.

It's highly unlikely, since Amazon.com doesn't even stock the title. Orders will have to go through a 3rd party vender. It's not very likely that they pricematch BB.

I ordered the Robotech set from BB via in-store pickup, but I got an email saying it wasn't in the store. I was hoping Amazon would match the price, but when I saw it was out of stock there, I contacted Best Buy, and it will be shipped to me for free. Sucks that it's currently out of stock at BB.com. I hope I won't have to wait long.

Yawara! Season 1 is up for pre-order @ AnimEigo.com
  • USPS Media Mail ($124.98 + $5 S&H)
  • UPS Ground ($124.98 + $10 S&H)
  • UPS 2-Day Air ($124.98 + $20 S&H)
  • Airmail (Canada) ($124.98 + $10 S&H)
The first season of Yawara (Episodes 1-40) will be released during the summer of 2008 (as we get closer to release, we'll narrow down the date). The format will be a set of DVD9's (1-sided, dual-layer DVDs, probably with 6-7 episodes per DVD) in a Multi Disc DVD Case. In addition to the episodes and our traditional extensive liner notes, there will be an extras disc containing all sorts of interesting goodies (no details yet, we're still working on them).

The retail price of season 1 is $149.98. However, if you preorder the set, you can get it for only $124.98, plus a small shipping charge (depending on what shipping option you select). Furthermore, if we get more than 2000 preorders, we'll automatically reduce the cost to everyone in $5.00 increments (2001-3000 preorders means the price is $119.98, 3001-4000 = $114.98) all the way down to $99.98.

North Carolina Residents: we will automatically charge the correct sales-tax amount.

We have used this preorder system many times in the past. By knowing how many people want a box set like Yawara, we know exactly how many to make, and ship everything in a massive batch -- and we pass the savings on to you. You can pay using credit card, check, or PayPal, and we don't collect any money until we are actually shipping the product. You can cancel your preorder at any time (though we hope you won't!), and we'll send out an email alert a few days before we let loose the dogs of shipping!

To sign up for the preorder, simply fill out the following form and submit it. You'll then get an email with a link you can use to enter other data we'll need, like your address and payment information. Please file away the information in that email in case you need to change things later on. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to fire off an email to us ([email protected]).

In the "Name of Character" field, select the name of the character displayed to the right of the form. We apologise for this skill-testing-question, but some moronic spammers (or their even more stupid spambots) keep submitting bogus email addresses via the form.

Just so everyone knows, on that page they have an offer to get a free DVD with the first four episodes. There is a $5 shipping and handling charge though. But I'm going to give it a try since I know nothing about the series.

I got them for $39.99 for each of the first two boxset from TRSI. It was a heck of a deal. Those were some great Weekly Specials after the 12+Days of Christmas back then.

Yeah a few months prior I got Escaflowne plus action figure for 60. Some moron stuck some security tags on the outside of the box on the artwork though but I can live with it given the price paid.

Haven't seen many deals like these short of the 10 for $50 and 25 for $100 sales or 2006's 12+ days of Xmas. At least anything that I have been looking for.

Oops I forgot to indicate that it's B&M. However if it's online I would have listed as FYE.com, Suncoast.com,... And the promotion is ongoing right now.
