Thanks, OP! Just ordered this. My kids used to love this movie when they were younger (and had it on VHS). They'll get a kick out of watching it again.

Is this reward points a limited time event? When do we have to cash in on them?

Last month I finally bought the Region 2, anamorphic 1.66:1, only extra was a boring interactive game, no trailers.

As much as a Ducktales fan I was, it's surprising I hadn't seen this movie since it came out 18(!) years ago. And it was such a disappointment when I finally did. It should have gone straight to video.....

I would still buy a Special Edition if it happens....

Damn, I finally signed up for Disney Rewards, but I only have 300 points, including the introductory survey. I should have more, but some of my DVDs don't have the codes inside. I saw that you can apply for the points by mail, but do they really expect me to have the receipt years after I've bought some of these things? Ugh.

I think it's Feb 2009, I had read it as 2008 and cashed out too early.

Also, for people looking for more points: Don't forget about movie ticket stubs. Those count for 50 points each, and you can use up to 4 for a given movie.

Yeah, I've got 400 points right now. Hopefully it'll be around when I finally get enough.

IIRC, this is the actual Theatrical film while the other one apart of Volume 2 is the 3 or 4 part Pilot for Ducktales.

Is the content the same though, just split up among episodes? Or is the theaterical film completely different?

The series ran from 1987-1990. The movie, Treasure of the Lost Lamp was released about six months after the series ended.

The pilot for the show was split into 5 episodes and appears on the Vol.2 DVD set:
"Don't Give Up the Ship"
"Wronguay in Ronguay"
"Three Ducks of the Condor"
"Cold Ducks"
"Too Much of a Gold Thing"

This is completely different than the Treasure of the Lost Lamp movie.

It does seem to suck, but where else are you going to get this DVD legally?

No problem, everyone. I used to watch it as a 'kid' and thought my sons would like it as well. Plus there's nothing else that really interests me on there within that point range. Just thought I would pass it along since I know I had been waiting on it.

Someone else asked about how many dvds or whatever I had to redeem. I don't remember exactly. I just got tired of seeing all these inserts when I bought blu-ray movies and felt like I had enough to check it out and get something. I redeemed POTC 2,3, Cars, Ratatouille(and maybe another one or two) blu-ray discs, and a few of my sons disney movies. I ended up with 800 points and the movie was 750.

I've seen this on ebay used starting at $9.99. I've never seen what it ended for.

Has anyone had trouble logging in the past two days? Since this post, every time I try to log in, I get a "we're sorry this page is undergoing routine maintenance" message.

you are correct. i'm sure when it degenerates to the point of people begging for and or "swapping" disney movie codes it will be locked again.

I bought DuckTales Seasons 2 and 3 and Tailspin Season 1 today because I had some credit card reward certificates, and only one of them actually had a reward points thing in it. Luckily, it was enough to put me over the top for the DuckTales movie. I doubt that I'll be wanting anything else from the reward program anyway, since I don't buy all that many Disney DVDs.
