Hopefully there will be more in stock come Tuesday.

Just got mine from the Eureka (CA) FYE. $22.99 and a $5- mail-in rebate.
So far, I haven't been able to pre-submit the rebate (the same happened with the South Park Imaginationland DVD, which is now easily "pre-submittable").

$22.99 - 10% Backstage Pass - $2.00 coupon for pre-ordering = $18.69 x 1.06 tax = $19.81 - $5.00 MIR = $14.81 = good deal = :)

Sticker on set says limited to 5000.

Did you pick that up at Costco?

Got the Costco exclusive as well. It is $33.99. It's a very nice set though. Roughly the size of the Dreamgirls exclusive they had. My store had 1 box of them (roughly 10 like Mark said).

Got the FYE Sweeney Steelbook...is there supposed to be an insert in it?

Mine did not. They only had 4 copies. About 11am today.

i reserved mine last friday and i showed up today and they told me they sold them. it sucked. reminded me of the seinfeld episode where he reserved a rental car and they rented it out before he got there. "You know how to take the reservation. You just dont know how to HOLD the reservation"

Got the Costco exclusive and am happy with it, price-wise, but for those that think that this is a special exclusive book, you can easily purchase it separately on Amazon if you wish. The package includes the 2 Disk DVD plus the hard cover Sweeny Todd book authored by Mark Salisbury that goes for $19.80 at Amazon new or $14.99 used. Just thought I'd mention this for those of you that are not Costco members or near a Costco store, that the exclusivity of this package is the price, it would cost you $42.79 at Amazon versus $33.99 at Costco for about an 8 dollar savings. So if its all about the DVD for you, skip the Costco exclusive and just buy the DVD. The book is not a limited collectors item. However if you are a Sweeny Todd fan, then by all means buy the package, because the price is hard to beat and the book is truely beautiful and very well done.

That's ridiculous, dude. And I remember that episode well... What are they going to do for you?

Picked up both the FYE Steelbook and the Costco set today. I wish the HD-DVD version was still coming out. I guess we will have to wait awhile for the Blu-Ray. 1080p has spoiled me.....

I picked up the steelbook at FYE today...

I'm sure I'm missing something spectacularly obvious, but was I supposed to pick up a form in the store in order to get the rebate? My receipt says nothing and when I try to submit online it tells me that it is not available... I've never shopped at FYE before so I don't know how their rebate system works.

VAMPYRE XX 04-01-08 07:40 PM

They should have given you 2 other receipts along with the original, one is the rebate receipt and the other is the rebate form. It should have been automatic from the register. The only bad thing is you have to cut out the upc proof of purchase from the back of the case page. If this bothers you, then don't even worry about trying to send in for the rebate.

The managers gonna special order me another one

Sondheim 04-01-08 07:47 PM

Hmm... I kind of suspected that. I most definitely only got the purchase receipt, since I always keep my receipts in my bag until I get home.

Thanks for the information. I guess I'll stop by on my way to school tomorrow with the original receipt and hope they give me one for the rebate.

Actually as other threads have pointed out, you can just peel off the price sticker with the barcode in front.

See thread link

And here's instructions on how to submit FYE rebate courtesy of db27:
