Great idea for a thread, I miss Blade too.

I just picked up a few DVD sets the other day, and the $1.50 dog/coke.

I forget the specifics but I'll go ahead and post what I remember: a Bob Hope 7 film collection for ~$14, a Drew Barrymore 3 film set for $8, also had similar sets for Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock. 3 fairly recent films in slimcases for $8 seemed more than fair.

For those who want to add a girlfriend to your membership, just go to the membership counter tell them you'd like to add your "wife" to your account. She'll need to be there of course (to get her picture taken) her last name doesn't need to match... just tell them you're newly married, they won't care anyway. I've done this in the past, it works.

I saw a stack of Dreamgirls gift sets for $19.99. This was the 2 disc SD DVD, a 2 disc Soundtrack Album, poster, and some photos.

As some people have tried this and have been told that the person added needs to be at the same address , I think this is YMMV situation and depend on who is at the customer service desk and possibly where your Costco is located. Still it doesn't hurt to try.

There are very few times she'd need to go to Big Food (as we call it) without me, so it's not a big deal. Thanks for the replies, though.

I'm sure its YMMV but I've never had a problem. I am currently sharing a membership with my Dad and he is in a different state and in the past I have shared memberships with friends who have different addresses and it has never been a problem. My wife uses my card and has also never had a problem, she just tells them shes my wife.

I went to Costco today and picked up the new Collector's Edition of 12 Angry Men for $9.99.

Also, the $1.50 hot dog + drink is such a sweet deal, because not only is the price great, but the hot dog is HUGE and comes in a really high quality sesame seed bun.

I still don't get why they replaced the pretzels with churros. The pretzels were far superior.

Yes, I miss those pretzels. The Chicken Bake is great too and the pizza and about twelve pounds of cheese per slice.

For any Sweeney fans, Costco is going to have a great exclusive
"Costco: Exclusive “Sweeney Todd Fleet Street Giftset” which includes the 2 Disc Special Edition DVD and the lavish, hardcover official companion book. With a forward by Tim Burton, the book includes over 200 photos, concept drawings and production designs, extracts from the screenplay and interviews with the cast including Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter."
Im going to place my preorder this week at Costco.

Heres a link to the book which will be included, looks awesome!

They still have quite a stack of them at the Milford, CT location, but the price is still $79.99.

Fantastic! Thank you. I wonder if it will be like the Dreamgirls exclusive they had. That was a very nice set.

Another thing at Costco: They have all 7 seasons of (Road To) Avonlea at the horrendous price of $60 a season. However, I have never seen these being sold in the US. The sets have only been released in Canada and I've only seen them online for around $70 a piece. So if you really loved that show, as I did, here's your chance to get it.

Has anyone checked Costco today for new release prices? Specifically looking for Bonnie and Clyde and Party of Five... Thanks!

Saw some nice stuff in Portland (NE) Costco yesterday. They have these great Cinema Classics Collections for $9.99. I picked up The Sun Also Rises and Jane Eyre. They had a whole bunch of those 3-disk slim case collections but I was very disappointed with the movies that were selected for each collection. They seemed to be really scraping the barrel for titles for those sets. They also had a bunch of Criterions that I'll cross-post with the other thread. Most notable was The Ice Storm, Stranger than Paradise, Fear and Loathing, Night on Earth, and Gimmie Shelter.
