All store exclusives and freebies - 3/16/08 to 3/22/08
 

These weekly threads are for the posting and discussion of that particular week's store exclusives and freebies.

These lists will likely be incomplete until Thursday or so, since DVDs are released on Tuesday and one of us needs to visit all the stores to confirm things.

Volunteers needed: I regularly go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, and Walmart; but don't visit the other stores every week. If you work at or regularly go to the FYE/TWEC chains, Costco, Borders, K-mart/Sears, Barnes and Noble, Blockbuster, Hot Topic, or any other store that has DVD exclusives; We'd appreciate any updates you could give us.

Enchanted-Exclusive Bonus disc: Becoming Enchanted A New Classic Comes True featurette.

Buy "Enchanted" from TARGET! the Bonus DVD is 30 minutes long and is very very well done, i cannot believe they didn't include it in the DVD or even the Blu-Ray disc.
It's basically a behind the scene featurette with interview from the artists and the producers and designers from the animated side and the live-action side.
the story book set from Best Buy is really weak, it's basically two tiny drawing book printed on those cheap newspaper material...

Wal Mart : Enchanted DVD comes with hard-bound journal. Atonement comes in a two-pack with Love, Actually :hscratch:

Some Atonement DVDs at Target came with a bonus disc that includes:

- a 21 min doc - The Road to Atonement: An Epic Love Story
- a behind the scenes look at Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
- trailers for Miss Pettigrew, Charlie Wilson's War, and Leatherheads

I didn't find any in widescreen, so I just went and bought a fullframe (which I'm atoning for as we speak), went to BB and got the widescreen, switched covers and discs out and now am selling the fullframe on Amazon.

Made a partial run, updates made.

haven't done my runs yet, but i have a question: are there any exclusives for BSG anywhere? i got mine at BB already and am anxious to start watching, but i wanna make sure i'm not missing out on anything. i remember hearing about a steelbook exclusive, but i think that was in canada...

Yeah. I was expecting some kind of exclusive for BSG. Nope.

lenticular... on the slipcover? or is it lithographed-sized? might have to drop in to blockbuster and check it out.

Lenticular Picture around 8.5 X 11 size. It is the basically the same picture that is on the dvd cover and it transforms from the real actors to their animated counterparts.

Hi. A bit of a late addition.. Canadian Zellers have the "Becoming Enchanted" bonus disc that appears to be the same one at Target, but English/French text on the cover..
