Well damn, I don't even have a Costco in my area.

Perhaps I can price-match at my store...

For folks who aren't finding them at your local Costco, you may want to look in areas you normally wouldn't. At the Costco on Los Feliz Boulevard in Los Angeles, they were hidden between the CDs and the music-concert DVDs, far away from the normal movie DVDs, for some reason. (Maybe because "Gimme Shelter" is one the Criterions?)

Well, none at mine (Eugene, OR). I also had looked through the CD section but didn't see it there either (though at the time, I was just browsing).

Did you try the one off of Exposition near the Arden Mall or up in Roseville? I know I've seen tons of obscure titles at the Rosville one on more than one occasion.

Is there a good time to go to the Los Feliz Blvd location? - a certain night perhaps? That place is always just insanely packed. As well as the Alhambra one.

Because of my work schedule, I often end up there around 5 p.m. or so during the week. It's a bit crowded, but manageable. The lines aren't too long and move fairly quickly around that time. I don't think there's any time that place isn't at least a bit crowded.

Damn. I wish I hadn't bought Ice Storm on Amazon now. Think I'll go check the local Costco tomorrow. Maybe get Gimme Shelter or Days of Heaven.

They had all the titles mentioned in this thread at Portland (NE) Costco. Stranger than Paradise, Night on Earth, Gimmie Shelter, Ice Storm, Fear and Loathing. Lots of each title. I don't think they'll sell out any time soon.

Picked up Night on Earth last night. Didn't see Gimmie Shelter or Ice Storm.

I don't even have a Costco membership. I'd love to go look, but I'm not paying their stupid member fees. I wonder if Sam's Club carries any of these.

What the hell...your basic membership to Sam's Club is $40, while Costco's is $50. Ten dollar's difference all of a sudden makes it a stupid fee?

Anyways, spotted some Criterions yesterday at the Costco in the Concord/Pleasant Hill area:

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
The Ice Storm
Night on Earth
Stranger Than Paradise

I'm pretty sure there were a couple more titles, but those are the ones I could remember.

I was amazed to find these titles at the Honolulu Costco (Ala Kawa St.), since we usually don't get everything the bigger markets get. Unfortunately I already have the only title I'm interested in (Gimme Shelter), which i got last year for $10.00 when Tower was going out of business.

I didn't see any at the Hawthorne, CA store last night. Would have loved to have snagged DAYS OF HEAVEN.

First of all I paid 30 for my membership at Sam's which would make it a 20 dollars difference. Secondly it's always been a stupid fee. Why would I want to buy a membership to Costco when I already have one at Sam's. It's essentially the same thing. At least to me it is.

I'm still trying to figure out why you think paying for access to Sam's Club is fine but doing the same for Costco is "stupid."
