It is a pretty big YMMV, which I meant to make more clear, but I was a little tired, heh.

For those who missed out on the Bleach deal at Wal*Mart or have some Amazon store credit burning a hole in your pocket, Amazon will have the same box set as Wal*Mart(episodes 1-20) available on June 10 for $34.99.

FYI, this standard edition boxset will be made widely available to all retailers (though not everyone has listed it yet). Viz Media originally messed up the original solicitation stating a retail price of $69.98. The retail price was recently changed to $49.98. The release date will remain the same at June 10th.

No. The price is locked in. You just have to hope that they don't do a "system update" and cancel your order.

I know it's strange... I was emailed the PDF scan and told that it expired the 31st. Never noticed the missing "valid dates". When I got in the store and the cashier trainee (who crashed the computer TWICE during this transaction) scanned it and it took 0.00 off, she took a look at it and couldn't find an expiration date so cashier trainer said to manually punch in the 10% off (as they usually do when it won't go in). Trainee takes off 10% of the 0.00 coupon and when getting her to scan the item (whcih was already bagged) for a THIRD time, trainer noticed the price sticker on the box and gave an "Oh, that's why!" and denied me from there. Also told me that he didn't think that the coupon expired and asked if I wanted to back and get another movie at regular price to get the 10% off...

If it does expire today and you missed it, I'd still go in and try when you pick up your set. Worst you could get is denied.

It looks like this is the only title so far they have matched to BB. Here is the link:

Amazon list Elfen Lied as 3 disc's.
There are 4 disc's in the set.. Is this another lower bitrate release like Gantz SE??

And a thank you, too, for this.

If I'm saving so much money, why does it hurt so bad...?

I don't know for sure if the bitrate is lower or not on the thinpak, but it shouldn't be. 5 episodes on a disc is only 2 hours of material and they have more space available than the singles because the extras have been omitted from the thinpak release. I don't think that you have to worry about PQ with the thinpak release.
