there's always a promo going on. when free shipping expires something new will be there. they haven't had a free shipping plus extra % off in awhile though.

Do not use the free shipping promo they have right now (it has to be $50 anyway). It's probably one of their worst. The best I've seen (IMO) are:

20% + free shipping
30% off
25% off
20% off
Free shipping - no minimum

Anything else I usually pass on unless something ultra rare pops up used.

Agreed

wherehouse on a sale has become my primary and almost only place I buy used stuff at. Some good deals after one of the coupon codes.

So, are we gonna keep this thread around so folks can post those ultra-rare promo codes? I hadn't thought of wherehouse.com for a long, long time until this thread popped up, and would love to hear about new/better promos as they come along.

If a really good promotion comes up, it'll be posted. There just haven't been very many lately. Also, you can sign up to their newsletter. They'll send you emails about new sales as they come up.

I got my second order today. All items were in good condition except for one of the CD's... which was technically fine, the disc was perfect, but there was a large cut in the side of the case and part of the side art was missing as well as a result. I guess this means the CD is question was a discounted/promotional one. I only paid $4 or $3 for it If I remember correctly. I wonder if I should bother asking for a replacement or just let it slide...

I finally received my first order (took more than a week from the day it shipped). Two of the dvds had light scratches and the cases were a little beat up. The Ranma 1/2 set I ordered was in very good condition. No scratches on the discs, and the box is in pretty good shape too. Overall I'm pleased with this order. Especially about getting such a great deal on Ranma.

Are they always this inconsistent on shipping? My first order shipped on the 4th and got here on the 6th, my second shipped on the 8th and third on the 10th, neither is here yet. And I'm starting to get frustrated; I was hoping they would be here by now because I'm leaving friday for spring break. I can understand the third one not being here, but the second one should have been here today, I would have thought......f*** usps.....

My understanding is that wherehouse.com and secondspin.com front the same company - the used stock is the same, shipping location is the same, and I've received responses from the same customer support individuals when ordering from both websites.

My guess is, the anime boxes you ordered are a bit too heavy again and you probably got more than you paid for but you can't verify this until you get home?

Placed my order February 29th, shipped March 2nd, still haven't received anything. Is there any way to track packages through them, I'm beginning to get frustrated.

I got a couple of my orders today, everything is in great, mostly immaculate, shape. Very happy, except that the Samurai 7 Vol 7 with Collector's Box that they sent me actually included Volume 1. >_< Which wouldn't have been a big deal if I knew that prior to making the order, I just wouldn't have ordered volume 1 by itself.

Anyway, I actually ordered the Limited Edition of Volume 7 (it was only $10) too so I still came out with all the volumes of Samurai 7 with the collector's box for ~$33. Not too shabby, especially since a couple of them were the Limited Editions with the nice boxes and sketchbooks fully intact (a couple of the DVDs and sketchbooks inside the boxes were still unwrapped!).

Anyway, great haul, even with the volume 1/volume 7 mix up. Went ahead and ordered the three volumes of Jinki: Extend too for about $19 total as well as a few other DVDs.
