Well, stopped by a Hollywood Video and got the following:

The Kingdom
Zodiac
Elizabeth-The Golden Age
Knocked Up
Constantine
The Mummy
The Mummy Returns

All for $76.16 out the door. All HDDVDs were $10. I might stop off at another location to check it out also.
Now off to buy some cases.

Never bought into HD-DVD, but, I can confirm that as of last night they do have all of the HD-DVD on the shelf marked as $14.99 and have the 2 for $20 signage right next to them at the Naco & O'Connor location in San Antonio.

So, how are the HD DVD inserts being treated at HV locations. I went to one location and they glued the insert to the outside of the rental case.

Mine are all inside a standard DVD case. I ordered 20 blank HD-DVD cases off ebay so you'll never be able to tell they were rentals.

Just a heads up to everyone whose getting cases off ebay, make sure you get the cases with the HD DVD logo on them (if you are picky). Many do not have any kind of marking, and if you're looking for 'real' cases, make sure you grab ones with the logo.

None that anyone has found. I plan on using a regular case with a paper sleeve to house the second disc under the clips inside the case.

Darn you for taking The Host, I was just there.

I ended up buying 10. For $5 a piece I couldn't resist.

Blood Diamond
The Matador
Payback
The Hitcher
16 Blocks
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Disturbia
Next
Mission Impossible 2
Aeon Flux

At $10 I likely would have walked out of there with nothing, but for $5 each, I almost bought Balls of Fury too.

I was allowed to combine offers, but would have to make multiple trips to get more than one B1G1 free. Picked up
H. Potter 1,2,3,4,5
Transformers
300
Evan Almighty

Going back tomorrow to pick up
The Mummy
Mummy Returns
and a couple more.

Paper sleeve inside regular HD-DVD case for second discs? Heck yeah. I'm planning on doing the same!

^ I'm going to head to HV on Tuesday to see if they replenish more.

BTW, anyone looking for cases, you can find them on ebay at decent prices. No bidding required. I have 20 on the way.

Note: One's from "SQUARE DEAL RECORDINGS AND SUPPLIES" do not have the HD DVD logo...

It's not online afaik. It's in the freebie store magazine in the display stands at the counters.

Mine told me that they were putting out American Gangster today and Beowulf tomorrow so i'm going back in the morning to hopefully pick up both with the B1G1 coupon...

As for today, the picking were slim or I should say that I wasn't really interested in what they had. They wouldn't honor the 2 for $20 but they did take the B1G1 coupon so I walked out with Bourne Ultimatum and HP: OotP for $16 and change. I couldn't be happier...

Well, I was in my Hollywood on Saturday night and both of the employees working there told me there were no plans to sell their HD DVDs, as they felt they could still rent them successfully for a while. I stopped by today on my lunch break and found that they had put them up for sale yesterday and everything was gone except for crap like Norbit, Tomb Raider and Hot Rod. Oh well.

I'm slightly peeved. I stopped by the Hollywood Video on Clarendon Blvd next to the late, lamented Dr. Dremo's in Arlington, Va right at 10 in order to scoop up some bargains, but the door was still locked. I wnet back at 11, and other people had gotten in ahead of me, grabbing piles of titles I wanted. The manager said that no more new HD-DVDs were coming in tomorrow, so no red-jacketed Beowulf.

I bought The Invasion, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, and Cinderella Man with the B1G1 coupon, for a total of $30 plus tax.

stopped in this morning and was told that the Movie Gallery in ATL wasn't running the promo at 2 for 20. she said she was going to talk to "someone" who would clarify that for her. went in at lunch a few hours later and the promo was running then. picked up:

smokin' aces
black snake moan
stardust
eastern promises

want american gangster and the kingdom, but they didn't have either.

no b1g1 coupons either, so i settle for the 2 for 20 on them - getting them for 43 with tax

I went on my lunch hour to Lincoln Park and Highland Park, MI and bought:

Aeon Flux
American Gangster
Blade Runner 5-disc
Bourne Ultimatum
The Brave One
Eastern Promises
Elizabeth: The Golden Age
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Mission: Impossible
Mission: Impossible 2
Mission: Impossible 3
The Mummy
The Mummy Returns
Ocean's Thirteen
Shrek the Third
Stardust
Superman Returns
Terminator 3
Tomb Raider
V For Vendetta
World Trade Center
Zodiac Director's Cut

26 titles in all for $207!!

Lincoln Park is pretty stripped (only got 8 titles), but Highland Park was stocked, at least until I got done with it. (There's still plenty there, for those not afraid of the 'hood.) I got a little pushback on using the coupons, but both places realized that if some idiot wants to buy 8-18 movies at once, by all means, accommodate them!
