Well yeah. Once that barcode is scanned, it's de-activated. It's done. Think of the millions of concert tickets that are printed out and used. It's the same way.

Moreover, what's stopping dirtbags from just stealing the stickers off the front of the dvds in the store? Or worse, writing down the redemption codes off the back, but leaving the stickers there for some poor schmuck to take home only to find out it's now invalid?

At the BB i visited, the stickers were under a 2nd plastic wrapping covering the DVD. So it's not like the price tag that's on there. You would have to open up the DVD to peel off.

Oh, I got "The Thing" as part of my 6.99 deals. Got a total of 4 and my friends and I are going to see The Hulk opening weekend. YAY!

Yeah the dvds have been double shrinkwrapped.

I guess it's a good idea, But they need to get the website up.

That's funny, I could have swore I bought the dvds this past sunday, which was the 1st?

I understand what your saying, but when I said "Promotion" I was referring to when the Best Buy/ Circuit City ads/sales were on. I don't know what else to call it.

It's no big deal, I'm just an instant gratification type of guy.

The sticker says "Log on to:www.HotTixForCoolFlicks.com from 6/13/2008 through 10/26/2008" so I guess you aren't a following instructions type of guy.

Updates

I added the two promotions reported by ga5vin. I couldn't locate any confirmation of the Wall-E tickets at Best Buy for June 8. ga5vin, where/how did you hear about this promotion?

========

The web-site at www.HotTixForCoolFlicks.com is now functional. Everyone may now submit their on-line codes for the $7.50 Incredible Hulk / Wanted / Hellboy II: The Golden Army / The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor tickets.

Thanks for the info that has already been posted several times in this topic.

Some people just have to get there two cents in. Anyways, the site is up, everyone is happy.

Just to clarify I was aware of what the ticket said. My point was that when these things are sold in stores the website SHOULD be up. I never stated that they said it would be.

Sorry if I missed this being mentioned, but the Incredible Hulk season set deals appear to be at all retailers.

I've only been to three stores this week, but saw them at Target, BB, and B&N.

No, it hadn't been mentioned previously. I appreciate any information like this that can help "tidy up" the table and fill in any "unknowns". Speaking of which: I printed out one of the You Don't Mess with the Zohan" tickets. These tickets expire 7/31/08. The table has been updated accordingly.

Oh, I forgot about these DVD releases:

An $8.50 Hollywood Movie Money certificate for X-Files: I Want to Believe is included in the 2-disc DVD compilation for X-Files: Revelations ($22.98 SRP). All retailers should be selling that set once it hits stores July 8, 2008.

Both the DVD and Blu-ray Limited Edition Gift Sets of Batman Begins will include a $7.50 Hollywood Movie Money ticket for The Dark Knight (they erroneously list it as "Movie Cash" when the certificate shown has the HMM stamp on it). Both sets will be released on July 8 as well in all retailers.

The following additions have been made to the table (post #1):

X-Files: I Want to Believe (reported by mcjw_serenity)
The Dark Knight (reported by mcjw_serenity)
The Happening (reported by ScissorPuppy)
Any Movie - Redbook magazine offer (reported by DiscGuy)
Wall-E (reported by ga5vin) -- Qualified purchase list updated

Hey! Check out the Redbook magazine offer: a $12.75 movie ticket for the price of an envelope, 3x5 card and a postage stamp.

ga5vin: Thanks for the heads up on the Wall-E ticket offer. You don't have to explain (the easy way or the hard way) of how you got that link. I used to fish for those pages as well a couple years ago. The actual offer link is now up on the Best Buy site here. The table (post #1) has been updated accordingly.

THANKS AGAIN EVERYBODY!!!!

The Happening tickets at Circuit City are worth $7.50 each, there's two inside each packaged-separately package, and they're valid 6/13 to 7/31. I was too slow- my Circuit City, on Monday 6/09, had taken the Happening Movie Money standee down and shoved it in the back room because it was already empty. They still had full Zohan and Hulk/Wanted displays.

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but if I get a Wall-E movie cash ticket (or any movie cash ticket), can I use that on opening night? Or is it pass restricted? Thanks.
