i ordered the steve mcqueen set from amazon last week at 27.49 so i figured i would pricematch it with them but it is already back to 27.49 so i am out of luck,it must have been 17.49 for one day only,oh well 27.49 is still a good price for that set

Did I miss something? Were they cheaper than they are now? They are $28.50 each for 1-4, but $130 for the set of 1-5. So getting #5 in the set would have only been another $16. This price has been Amazon's price for the set of 1-5 for quite a while.

It's too bad The "Essential" Steve McQueen Collection has only a nice outer box with the regular DVD releases inside. Would've been much better with a Sergio Leone Set type of packaging.

Eugh, I don't like getting box sets in digipacks. I like being able to separate them and shelve them separately if I want without going through some crazy hassle of buying cases and printing art...

Btw, the McQueen set is back on sale for $17.99.

Not anymore. Amazon realized their mistake. The set is now $80 shipped from Amazon. If you didn't get it, you ain't gonna get it.
