Thanks for the prices Speedy, and welcome back! I greatly appreciate you posting these, you've saved me quite a bit of cash!

There's no mention of Voltron: Black Lion in this ad? It's supposed to be out on 12-11.

i guess BB is getting wise on the "steelbook" craze by upping the price $1.00. really shitty imo since every 2-disc edition like this was $22.99 and most if not all their new release "steelbooks" were that price as well till now.

^ but you can save $5 just by using a mastercard, so really comes out to $18.99

and if it's anything like the $5 off promotion when you bought the bourne files, the cashier will just ask you if you're using a mastercard, that will prompt them to add a SKU in the order, it'll take the $5 off and u can just slide any card in the machine to pay for it. or, if you have a mastercard, u can just use it.

Thanks WMAangel! I didn't look at the CC ad until it came in the paper today and saw their price. I got on here to ask the price-matching question and found you already answered it for me! Thanks again.

Grabbed Casino Royale and Volver. Didn't think anything else was worth $15+tax when other sales have been closer to $10.

The online list has 18 titles, the ad shows 8. However its still a very weak selection considering previous online sales.

I have a $5 RZ certificate and I also have a Master Card. So, hopefully if there are some Steel Books left when I get off work at 3:30pm on Tuesday, I can get Bourne 2-disc for $13.99 after the discounts.

Thanks for the prices!

I know this goes without saying and is a little late here, but I want to say it anyway. I used to read threads about people saying, "Avg. disc: 4.35" b/c they got in the $10 off $10 purchase deals in the early dot-com.

I think that when I see "Two disc special edition: $23.99!" when not so long ago a 2 disc SE could be had on release week for under $15. That's when I stopped buying DVDs.

THanks for letting me vent.

The DVD spine for "A Christmas Story" looks like the 2 disc special edition. Can anyone confirm that this is the version on sale for 10 bucks or is it the bare bones edition?

on the website the 2 disc is listed with that price, so pming should be no issue even if it doesn't ring up.

They had a TON of the steelbooks at my Best Buy. I can't see them selling out anytime in the near future.

I ended up not picking it up (I have the HD-DVD on it's way). The bonus disc didn't look that interesting, although I could be wrong. There were two featurettes - one sounded like it was about the NY chase sequence and another was the "Evolution of Nicky", which I almost had to laugh at. I was guessing the NY chase sequence one had to make up most of that 40 minute run time (how long could they possibly spend analyzing the Nicky character?). If I hear it's anything of substance, I may reconsider...

Did anyone else have this experience? I don't want to make a special trip (missed my lunch hour run) if most stores were sold out.

Thanks!

How about trying in store pickup at your location? If its available order it.

Most of the $13.99 DVD's are the same price at Amazon.com. The exceptions are the following:

$16.99:
Blades of Glory
Disturbia
Shooter
Norbit

$17.49:
Return to House on Haunted Hill

$18.49:
The Reaping

Plenty of Steel Books when I visited them last night.

Got one for $13.99 (minus the Mastercard discount and a $5 Reward Zone certificate)
