I really wish there was AT LEAST free shipping, not to mention no tax. Buying online from Amazon, DD, and DVD Planet have gotten me accustomed to those things. It makes the deal sets like CYE only a few bucks better than normal.

Wow, BB is going for the jugular on this one. Both their competitors and ours (when our wives find out we bought more DVDs...). So many things I could buy, but I'll try to resist. Just bought House Seasons 1 and 2, and West Wing Seasons 1-4 at Amazon (oh, and all the Bond sets at CC--this after telling the wife I would slow down on DVD buying...).

I told my girlfriend I would not buy anymore DVDs for the rest of the year after loading up on all the recent deals....but whatever, picked up Rome Season 2 and Sopranos 6.2.
I can sleep at night now with those two series complete on my shelves.

Great deals. I picked up both halves of Season 6 of the Sopranos . I will probably be angry when the complete Sopranos set comes out as I am sure it will. Too bad prereleases of Big Love and The Wire are not included this time as they were in the Black Friday sale

I'm holding off on Deadwood S1-3 and Rome S1-2 because i think these will price-drop to the $20-range just like Carnivale. I may have to pick up Flight of the Conchords as that's a really good price.

I am really wanting the Six Feet Under complete set and will try to PM it at Circuit City. On occasion, they had PM a printout from Best Buy. They may or may not do it, but since I will be right by there, it won't hurt for a little more additional off....if they have it in stock...and if I can find it.

I keep wondering why Amazon.com is so inconsistent with temporary price lowering across season sets like this, but since S4 was not lowered to $16.99 during last week's temporary price drop (even though S2, S3 and S5 WERE temporary lowered), I figure they must be running each requested item through their business analytics software (with parameters to include past sales and prices of items, recent sales prices of items, trends, price incentive towards free shipping, etc.) to figure out if its worth it for them to lower the price to match online competitors. Who knows. What other explanation could there be?

I just can't believe it's worthwhile for Amazon to match the Sex and the City price considering that the BB price is nearly half (!) Amazon's already listed 48% MSRP discount. With the less expensive shows, perhaps, because it still encourages you to buy more stuff to meet the free shipping min. With any show over that min, they're pretty much just giving it away at these prices. They really should just let BB take the hit on this. Not that I'm not encouraging them to drop trow -- because you'd have to be daft to prefer ordering from Best Buy rather than Amazon...
