"To Catch a Thief" is the old edition which sports one of the worst transfers around.

I'm amazed how EVERYBODY has the SAME titles on sale!

Alot of these titles are 2.99 at CC and may be at Wal-Mart on BF. However it might not be worth the trouble to save a few buck (but you can order at CC online)

Yeah, I bought a bunch from CC, and what I don't give away, I'll just return to CC. Too much hassle to ship them back if I order them online.

Copycat Retailing at it's finest. Nobody wants to make a move until the other guy does.

Another example would be Buy.com increasing their prices for titles in Blockbuster sale after they must have found that Amazon was selling them at a higher price. I still don't know what struck them. Raising the price of $4.75 titles to $5.50, $8.00 to $10.00 and from $17.25 to $20.00 midway through the sale just doesn't make sense. I would have surely bought 5-6 box sets priced at $17.25 next week sometime but now couple of them are being offered for $18.49 at Amazon. Damn....decisions decisions !

I picked up S8 and S10 of South Park. They are slightly cheaper friday, but only 1.50 each after tax, and not even considering gas, it's well worth it for sleeping in and avoiding the store that must not be named (actually I usually end up ordering the night before when I can and paying shipping, so it probably ends up cheaper with Buy.com's free shipping over 25).

These sales are determined by the studios...Copycat retailing has nothing to do with this. They dictate what goes on sale and what does not and then they tell the retailer how much they will be reimbursed by or they will sell in bulk and tell the buyer what to charge; this is why the same titles seem to rotate throughout the month at different retailers. Now granted, these reimbursements will not be offered to every single proprietor that sell dvds and some retailers may choose to take an extra dollar off to drive the sales.
