Would Eureka be a good blind buy? Sounds like something I would like (quirky, sci fi and mysteries) but does it maintain it's quality throughout?

I vote no. It's pretty formulaic and light weight -- decent enough if nothing's on, but I can't imagine ever having a desire to rewatch it.
