Many are talking about first and second orders. I thought the "dvdtalk" code was good for only one use. Am I wrong? Or can one also use the DD1109 code. Please help as this would be my first DDD order. Thank you.

You can use each code once. So if you used DVDTALK already, you have to use another one for your additional orders.

So if there are 10 different codes you can place 10 separate orders.

I've been not-so-patiently waiting for Image to announce this for HD DVD release (which they had said they would do way back in 2006).

At this price, I'm probably going to pull the trigger... which, knowing my karma, will mean that Image will announce an HD release 2 days later.

Just an update for anyone who has the same thing happen (i.e. make an order, but the discount disappears upon commit).

I called the customer service number (800-264-5076) but found out that it was too soon after making the order and was told to wait an hour. I did and called back, gave them my order number and they immediately corrected my order total, refunding the difference to my credit card.

So for anyone who has a similar thing happen, just wait at least an hour after making your order and then call the 800 number with your order number in front of you.

1st order 2nd order just for reference, I also placed an order with DVDPlanet last night- after checking all of the prices for things I had in my DD wish-list. These were all cheaper at DVDP, although in some cases this just amounted to a few cents.
have a few more (smallish) orders to place as things become available on the 13th and 20th. I'm going to try to hold to a very specific budget this year, rather than do what I've done the last three sales and over order 'just in case' and then pack half of them up a week later and ship them back for a refund when I realize I didn't need all this stuff to begin with.

One of the very few impulse purchases I'll be making this year is the Captain & Tennille set. Although my interest was piqued when it was first released, the sticker price made it easy to pass on- but for $16, I'll be looking forward to groovin' on some 70s musical/variety cheese. If the Match Games sets weren't supposed to have QC issues, I'd probably snap that up as well.
