Seinfeld: The Store Exclusives
 

Hello all. I'm a huge Seinfeld nut and I'm trying to put together a complete list of all the store exclusives so I can make sure my collection is truly complete. Here's a list of what I know.

Best Buy
Bonus DVD with purchase of Season 1 & 2, Season 3, or Season 1 & 2 and 3 Gift Set
Bonus CD with purchase of Season 5, Season 6, or Season 5 and 6 Gift Set
Complete Series Refrigerator Set

Wal-Mart

Please fill in the blanks for me if I've left anything out.

REMOVED:
Seasons 1 & 2 and 3 Gift Pack and Seasons 5 and 6 Gift Pack were NOT store exclusives.

Wal Mart had a bonus DVD. Crap.

Yeah. I didn't know about it until it was too late and the store didn't have it anymore. I got lucky and found it on eBay.

Anyone know what is on the Target bonus DVD? And for that matter, what was on the WM S4 bonus DVD?

The Gift Sets weren't Best Buy exclusives. I bought the first set at Amazon.

You're right. My mistake. I'm updating my list to remove those. I don't know why I thought they were Best Buy exclusives.

The cover of the Best Buy bonus CD says it came with seasons 5 and/or 6, not season 4.

What was on the Wal-Mart exclusive DVD?

If memory serves correctly, the content on the Wal-Mart exclusive DVD was a behind-the-scenes look at the origin of the show. I'm not 100% sure on that. I'll confirm when I get home tonight.

I wouldn't go too far out of my way for the some of the previous bonus discs. I got this info from a Seinfeld blog on the net (simply type Seinfeld and Forum on Google - 1st search result)

Highlight set up
Press DOWN twice and Elaine's lost button appears
Then press ENTER ("Hey Aren't You?" - which deals with the cast being recognized in public).

Season 8 Disc 2
Go to the 'Extras' menu
Highlight "Sein-Imation: The Del Boca Vista Express" and press LEFT on your remote twice. The smoke from the 'No Smoking' logo will light-up.
Press ENTER. (This shows what some of the cast did before Seinfeld)

What's on the Season 9 CD at Wal-Mart?

Thanks for the heads up, too much. That's very helpful to anyone who may not have those exclusive DVDs. Props to the producers of the DVDs for including exclusive bonus disc material on the regular DVDs so everyone has a chance to get them. Well, at least in those two cases.

According to the sticker on the front, it's a bonus music CD featuring music from the show. I haven't opened it yet so I don't know the full contents.

this week, costco has an exclusive episode guide attached to season 9.

Sweet, thanks for the info! I usually search for Easter Eggs, but I'm pretty sure I didn't find either of those...

Any idea what Costco's price is on Season 9 and if there are any deals on the previous seasons?

sorry, i didn't get the price. didn't see any other season in stock though at my local costco (montclair, CA). they had the complete series for $179.99, i think. just that and s9.

My Target had tons of the bonus disc sets, and NONE that didn't have it. The disc is in a sleeve on the back of the box set, and they are shrinkwrapped together. As much as I want the bonus disc, I'd rather have the awesome fridge set from Best Buy and unload my older seasons...

The Target bonus dvd is titled "The Best of Not That There's Anything Wrong With That." It is about 16 & 1/2 minutes long. I spotted about 4 bloopers from "Not That There's Anything Wrong With That" on Season 9. I'm not sure if there is any "exclusive" footage.

I noticed on the back of the Target exclusive version, the envelope on the back of the package under the shrinkwrap is actually labeled Wal-Mart Exclusive CD on the upper left. The sticker on the front of the package still says Target Exclusive DVD. Are they all like this or is this one packaged with the wrong exclusive item?

Looks like you got a special one because my Target bonus disc definitely said Target and my Wal-Mart bonus disc definitely said Wal-Mart. It was probably delivered to the wrong store, much like the Prison Break: Season 1 bonus disc problem where the bonus discs from Best Buy and Target were showing up at the wrong stores.

Anyone knows if the Best Buy Bonus DVD that came with purchase of Seasons 5 / 6 is in a subsequent regular Box Set release?

I don't remember the bonus dvd for Seasons 5 / 6. I'm pretty sure it was just a CD w/ standup from the first 6 seasons. On bb.com they list it as sold out but available at most stores. I can't find a single store near me that actually has it in stock.

I think you got them all. You could double check the database/thread to be sure, we've been tracking all store exclusive discs for a couple years now.

In another thread someone reported finding the same thing at their store. I checked the one I bought and luckily I got the one with the Target disc. The one I saw at Target today though definitely had a Target sticker on front but a Wal-Mart labeled envelope on the back.
