Thanks for the update! I wasn't able to get over there today, hopefully tomorrow.

BTW, the new Movie Stop in Midlothian (in front of Chesterfield Town Center by Carrabas) opens in two weeks in case you didn't know.

Wow, I am surprised they can pull it together that fast....I drove by there on Sunday while leaving the maill and there wasn't anything (fixtures/signs/merchandise/etc.) in their space to be seen through their windows, just a coming soon sign!

Do they accept discs with minor scratches and cases that show signs of wear? Do they deduct anything if discs or cases aren't in the best shape? How much do new release HD DVD's cost compared to Worst Buy?

They accept just about anything. Sometimes they'll charge you $.75 if the disc is pretty scratched. I've traded in lots of cases with sticker residue and I've also traded discs in rental cases. They're not that picky. I traded a bunch of former rentals today and they accepted all of them and didn't charge me extra.

New HD prices vary. Catalog titles are usually $19.99-$24.99. New release prices can vary. Their prices generally aren't that great. Now that the trade 4 for $19.99 towards a new release is ending, I won't buy anything new there.

My store was still doing the Trade 4 deal. I traded in 12 crappy CH dvds for Paprika (BR), PotC At World's End (BR) and Bourne Ultimatum (HD).

They pay $12 for most of the $20 funcash titles at CH, so i think im gonna use my FC to flip some stuff to MS.

For those who's stores are still going. Circuit City is currently running a $2.99 DVD sale. Its advertised in the Sunday Paper with over 60 titles that are eligible for the trade 4 deal. Comes out to $12 for a new Blu-Ray or HD-DVD. Not bad at all.

Not exactly...new Blu-ray and HD-DVD titles typically cost $25-30....so you'd have to pay the cost of whatever it is above $20...so it'd be more like $17-22 for a new release high def title...

For those in Richmond, VA: the new store next to Chesterfield Mall opened this past Friday the 16th...and the manager there told me this morning that while they no longer promote it, they do have the 4 for $20 new release offer still going until the end of the year if you ask for it....

These guys have been great, I have been trading in 4 old movies for New Releases that week or future releases, And greating decent store credit if I dont trade towards a new release. In addition with the store credit they will match advertised prices so you can get decent prices on the buys in the future
