I use "$5 bin" as a generic term; and as you see from the above posters, the sets have been $4 to $7.50 on sale at various times or even currently.

And I think I used the words "will be" in my initial post, as the third double disc hasn't been on sale yet afaik.

But these films are definitely bargain price fodder, and we will continue to see them really cheap.

Not attacking the quality, I own them, just saying that $21 for all three is nothing to get too excited about.

My BB's was sticked $27.99, but scanned at $34.99. Then when the coupon was applied went back down to the $27.99. Guy wouldn't budge for me. Oh well.

Get another cashier or even a manager. If the price says $27.99, then it should be sold at that price, then the coupon applied.

Completely unacceptable. I would never tolerate that from the Blockbuster drone. Ask to speak to the manager. At worst, they should honor the sticker price of $27.99, then deduct the coupon.

It's their mistake that it is stickered less than their system states it should be priced at.

Well, I got curious, and my local BB store rang them up as $34.99 as well. The lady said..."Hmm...the price changed." She then started to remove the $27.99 stickers from the other sets. There was no $6 coupon either, so I walked away. I'll get it later. $27.99 is a tad high for me right now anyway, and at $34.99, there's no way.

I'm not sure if this was an error, and the sets will be $34.99 with a $6 coupon, but they need to get their pricing correct. Especially since the $27.99 stickers were already created and on the sets.

The BB manager rang me up yesterday. It was marked at 27.99, rang up at 34.99 but she pressed the total key quickly and it took the price down to 27.99 after the $7 instant discount.

I didn't even have time to have her bring it down to 27.99 first because she totaled it so quickly. She was the store manager too so I couldn't have had her bring it down. Oh well.

It's people with your mentality that make me hate my job. Why is it people get snobby and think they're better than store clerks?

Well, if that's the case, I'll wait until November. DeepDiscount 20% off sale will do enough.

what the hell are you talking about? how much was it stickered for? 27.99? how much did he get it for 27.99 !!!!

tell me what blockbuster owes him?

I had a great experience here in okc with a store manager. rang up 27.99. i mentioned i saw on a website that this was ringing up many places for 20.99 with an automatic 7 dollar coupon but no coupon was ringing up for me. he said no problem, i will ring it up for you on my account and take off 7 bucks...

The copies at the store that I rewnt from had no sticker price on them. They rang up at 34.99 minus the 6 dollar discount. Still a bit much for me so I passed. I am waiting to get the first 2 plus the director's cut on Blu-Ray on the cheap since I already own an incarnation of each flick on SD. Kind of growing tired of shit just piling up around my house.

I'm not speaking for tofferman, but where I am, store clerks in Blockbuster, Target, and CC are bitter nasty people. When they hand me my change, I say thank you and they do everything short of sneer at me. The Best Buy workers are usually pretty pleasant, but it depends on the time of day I go.
But I know in my neck of the woods, it's the clerks that make me hate going to the stores.

I know, we're cool. I just know I got some eyerolls so figured I should egg on the possible fun debate. I love that word "silly". It always makes me think of this line:

"On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It's a silly place...."

Back on topic, I wish BB had this on sale for $22 or less. Even though I only need the third, and expect it to be cheap soon, I'd pay up to $22 to get the cool packaging and the free ticket to 4.

I stopped by 2 locations. They both had the sets labeled for 27.99, but the lines were too long so I didn't see how much they rang up. I mainly wanted the Director's Cut for 6.99, like reported earlier in this thread. But neither of my stores had them. The display was full of the earlier single disc versions of each movie. One store had them for 7.99, while the other wanted 9.99. No thanks!

I'm a shift lead at my store and I'm always nice to customers unless their attitude demands differently.

I reread our communications update and it said they are 34.99 BUT due to distributer discounts would total at 27.99 so that's what we stickered them as. With my employee discount I got mine for 22.80

Yes, CC have it for $20 this week and It Rangup $19.99. I rather spend my trade-in Credit at GR BB instead spending my cash at CC
