I should note something. I just bought this weekends Sunday paper and the Target ad has on the back that the "Advertised Sale Prices Good October 24 -30,2007"

But they clearly show the new releases for the DVDs & CDs for "In Stores October 16".

Both the Best Buy and Circuit City shows the normal Sunday-Saturday sales dates.

Is that 5 GC for the regular edition without any other purchase? Or do you have to purchase that toy? I wasn't a fan of Transformers, but for 11 bucks, I'll get a copy.

If Family Guy is 19.99, I'll pick it up along with Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Thanks.

Yes Shai there is a pic of the Bumblebee toy in the ad. It's on page 17 and is the 2 pack with the old Camaro and the newer Camaro, the sale price for the toy is $15.99 and next to it they picture the 1 disc Transformers DVD.

It may be YMMV, but Family Guy: Vol 5 is indeed $19.99 in Gainesville, FL.

So you have to buy the toy as well? Screw that.

Thanks for clarification Douglas.

Looks like Target may have a Bonus DVD as well, unless they are referring to disc 2 of the set. But it also mentions a comic and exclusive online content as well.

Just to be aware. Targets buy the exclusive Bumblee toy and Transformers dvd together and get $5 gift card only works with regular dvd, not the 2-Disc version.

My Target didn't even have the Bumblebee 2-pack. I'm rather annoyed about it!

Also the 2-dsic transforming case does not have a bonus disc

That's funny because they let me at my store in Chatt, TN.

The comic is in the case and is a prequel comic.

Here you go Mishii...

It comes with something called "Robo-Vision Decoder". A red clear plastic viewer to see hidden stuff in the comic. Kinda cheesy. I didn't remove it from the comic. I used my 3-D glasses (blue & red) from years ago (Eye On L.A. 3D swimsuit special; 1987).

^ didn't the original toys come with a red strip you had to look thru to see each character's attributes on the carton?

thanks JohnIan! What is your opinion of the comic? I'm sure the Eye on LA swimsuit special was better. I went to Target and bought the 2 disc version, but debating whether to open it.

The comic is alright I guess.

As for the box. I opened it. Took it out and made it change. But I wouldn't recommend have it stand on its own. The feet look flimsy, easy to top over; Megatron or blowing on it.

I was just about to come post about the same thing. I hadn't read thru this thread yet. My copy also has the dates 24th - 30th.

Someone could conceivably use those dates for a "future" PM elsewhere for the items advertised therein.
