The Sarah Silverman Show (S1)...anyone else having trouble finding?

I went to BB and Target. Target was wiped. BB had 2 or 3 slots and they were wiped. They said they had it in PC, but lord knows the BB employee I asked knew where the hell it was. I checked every section it could be in and nothing. Even sold out at DVDPlanet.

Didn't think it would be so hard only 1 day after release...

Nope. And no problem staying away from it.

Mean spirited is what she is. I can't wait for her to get hers.

Sarah Silverman is mean?!??!? Wow. Thats the first time I've ever heard that.

You do realize that in c-o-m-e-d-y, sometimes when you exagerrate negative human characteristics it's considered funny, right? (though this explains why so many people thought Carol O'Conner was a racist).

Oh well, back on topic, my Best Buy had these in the new release section for 12.99, which I thought was a bargain.

You do realize that Carol O'Conner played a f-i-c-t-i-o-n-a-l character who was a bigot?

As opposed to Silverman who is r-e-a-l, just not real funny, going for cheap soulless laughs. Oh, let's make Britney cry, oh, let's embarrass Paris Hilton in front of a live audience and on national TV. Wow, that's comic brilliance.

Anyway, back to the thread, my bad for the thread fart.

You do realize that Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are f-i-c-t-i-o-n-a-l, s-o-u-l-e-s-s characters?

I really can't think of anyone more fair game than celebrities -- the very people who voluntarily put themselves up for public recognition. I'm sure they cry themselves to sleep at night -- in their million dollar mansions -- because Silverman made fun of them.

one BB didn't have it in stock on opening day 10AM, i stopped by another one later in the day, and picked up the last copy with the bonus disc.

ThaGoddfather 10-04-07 01:21 AM

They had it at Wal-Mart for $12.99 by me!

Why are you teasing us?

ThaGoddfather 10-04-07 01:35 AM

They had it by the other seasons such as Entourage but only one copy left in Wisconsin.

bluetoast 10-04-07 01:49 AM

I saw a few copies at Target next to Entourage for $13.99 or so.

FARRELLCITYKING 10-04-07 05:55 AM

I just bought it from www.familyvideo.com

It's $12.80......i used the coupon "NEWMEM5F" (5 dollars off)....and ended up getting it for $8.79 shipped (including the .99 cent shipping)

If you already used this coupon, just make another account under another e-mail adress. :D

davey_4964 10-04-07 06:46 AM

I saw 2 copies at K-Mart. Price was $12.99.

ThaGoddfather 10-04-07 07:37 AM

Is that coupon only used for this?

no you can use it on anything they sell. there's a thread dedicated to it but i don't feel like searching for it but make sure you do and post whatever good deals you find to THAT thread and don't start a new one.

litza 10-04-07 03:11 PM

BB had a free bonus disc of her stand-up comedy with the series. For me, best deal.

i actually don't really dig her stand-up having trudged through "Jesus is Magic", but love her show.

i found one lone copy at Circuit Shitty and pm'd.

Dimsdale 10-04-07 05:07 PM

I originally couldn't find it at BB on the day of release, either. While I was waiting for an employee to dig one out of the back, I found a cart with a bunch of them that hadn't been put on the shelves yet. Got the bonus disk, too.

Yeah, I am real sure that her show on Comedy Central is just like how she is in real life. Just like those two guys are really gay and love Tab.

Do you have a hard time separating TV from reality? Celebs often play characters in the public eye, and it's often an act. It's all part of the show.

I for one think the show is brilliantly funny for so many reasons. I rank it up there with Wonder Showzen.

Just to be fair, only one of them actually liked Tab. The other was just pretending he loved it so he could piss of his partner for pushing Tab on him...

 Easily the best escalation of Tab-based Warfare I've ever seen on a Wednesday night.

SPiRAL 10-05-07 01:00 PM

I picked one up yesterday at BB. There was a bunch of them with the bonus disc in the MTV / Comedy Central section.

Ditto. I just bought it 15 minutes ago at my local store during my lunch break. At least 12 of them in the Comedy Central section, all with the bonus disc. And I was able to use the 10% off coupon, so only $11.69 for 2 discs of Sarah!

Peep 10-05-07 03:40 PM

How is the bonus disc packaged?
