A little birthday present for myself I bought

* X-Men 3: The Last Stand - ($9.99)
* Darkman Trilogy - ($9.99)
* Illusionist - ($9.99)
* I Robot Collectors Edition - ($9.99)
* Monty Python & The Holy Grail (Special Edition) - ($9.99)
* (+Free $20 Gift Card)
* (+State Sales Tax)
* (-$35 Gift Card)

Total: $19.20

Then turned around and used my gift card (which noticably irritated the obese lady behind me in line)

* Grindhouse Experience (20 Film Feature Collection - ($24.99)
* (+State Sales Tax)
* (-$20 Gift Card)

Total: $7.12

Picked up Angel season 5 for $5.99 (1-4 I picked up earlier in the week). I also got a FREE T-Rex! Thanks to whomever posted the free Night at the Museum dinosaur tip. I love free stuff.

My experience with the $10 off coupon was not that good. I made several trips by a couple stores this week. Trying not to be greedy I only bought a couple seasons at a time. Without going into details, suffice it to say I typically got a couple OK each time and then when I went back through a little later the same cashier (or a nearby busy-body) would deny me. One cashier wasn't willing to try hard enough to scan some of the coupons (they were identical so I don't know why the scanner had trouble on some of them), so she was going to get a manager to help on the coupons that didn't scan. I told her never mind and just took the few that scanned.

So I didn't get any of the Angel series. I probably shouldn't have bought Dark Angel for $5.99 each as it sounds pretty stupid and apparently has loud hip-hop music which I can't stand. Also, I decided to pay cash and not use my RZ card on these purchases.

Congratulations to those who were successful and got everything they wanted. I'd say it was a 50% denial rate in my area.

I went back through this thread and couldn't find the Night at the Museum dinosaur tip. Which post was it?

I guess I've been very fortunate the past couple of weeks! I've used a total of 12 $10 coupons (one at a time; I never tried multiple coupons) and I was never denied. Had a couple of close calls where I thought I was going to be turned down; but I made it through!

My latest one was today; Buffy Season 4; rang up $15.99 of course, gave the cashier the coupon(she looked at it, shrugged her shoulders, and scanned it), $6.39 - $5.00 RZ certificate = $1.06 Total!!!! (I know, the math doesn't add up; but that was the total that she told me and is what printed on the receipt).

This coupon has been great!! thanks again to the OP who posted this weeks ago!

I've always had success with the coupon and it seems to get easier and easier. Used to be the cashier had to ring up the dvd sets one at a time, scanning a coupon after each one (Once I walked out with several receipts because they rang each one separately). Today, he scanned the 6 sets, waited til the end and scanned all of the coupons and out the door with no problems!

when the reward zone certificate is scanned, it takes it the money off of the price pre-tax. so it was 15.99 - 10.00 coupon = 5.99 - 5.00 rz certificate = .99 + tax (7% i assume?) = $1.06 total.

the $6.39 would've been the $5.99 + tax (7%) BEFORE the rz certificate. that's why it wasn't exactly $5 off. so the math does add up

I haven't been that bold. But I do keep using 2 at a time, however I've been ringing them up separately... I got all 5 Angel sets, and 3 Buffy sets so far. Tomorrow I must get the remaining 4 Buffy's... Until this week, I hadn't used the coupon since they temporarily canceled it earlier this summer...

These coupons were a sweet deal. All Angel, Buffy, and Dark Angel for $5.99 each.

Simple Life, 24 preview, Simpsons theme sets, that new war show premiere - all free.

I hadn't been that bold before today. I needed all 6 to qualify for another Summer of Entertainment certificate and wasn't sure if I could get back there by tomorrow night.

Also, I suggested to the cashier to ring them up separately (based on my previous experience) but he indicated he'd do it his way...ok by me!

The one disc Halloween disc, Christmas w/ the Simpsons 1 and 2, a couple others. And I think all four seasons of Simple Life are 9.99 or less.

I finally got bold. I used 4 coupons at the same time. I got 3 Buffy sets, and 24 S6 Preview disc. Figured I should do it now while it still counts for SOE... Online shows I only need $7 to reach $300, but I did a few returns last week...
