Cheer up Ian. This thread didn't materialize until the Wednesday before. So the one for next week isn't "due" until tomorrow.

I know, I know. I'm looking forward to it too. We all want to know where we're going to be buying Heroes.

Picked up Dark Angel Season 1 and 2 along with Angel Season 4 for 17.xx + tax

I also had Angel Season 5 in my hand but it didn't register as on sale and I just said I would pass because I did not feel like having a manager come over who could say no to my coupons

Yep, just the first part. I also noticed that every copy had one, so I don't think it is that limited.

Yup! So far its Target, but who knows BB may surprise us. I don't want to think about what i'll do if evil CC has the better deal.

Yep...the Serenity comics is a mini-comic of the 1st issue of "Those Left Behind." Nice paper quality but what sucks about it is due to the way they made the serenity packaging, it won't fit in the case. You can shove it into the front window but then it screws with the box art.

I was hoping for a new original comic but figured that was unlikely.

OK, so I was off in my assumption on this, and glad I was wrong!
Many of you may know by now that the 2-Disc Huckabees IS part of this deal, it is indeed the one pictured in the ad (although hard to make out).
Manchester had two copies of this left, so I grabbed them both. I hope to be able to help someone out in the exchange forum or something. Both also still had slipcovers and in great shape. Lucked out there.
Also picked up:
Prestige
Xmen3
Leon

These threads aren't the same without Speedy, but we'll manage somehow, we always do.

I'm really disappointed in the packaging. Its HUGE!!! there's only two discs, but the package has enough room for at least 4. Its a bit bigger then the double disc cases that snow white came in. Plus big disappointment with the comic. I already have the original comics and those left behind, and was quite saddened when while walking out of the store I open up this new dvd and find that its just the first of the 3 comic series. LAME!!!
Oh well I'm watching the commentary now and its is worth the rebuy alone.

Also tried for the second time to use the $10 coupon on angel. Might of had it if I only baught 1 set. But of course, I want to get the whole series. So when I plot down the sets and 5 coupons, the cute girl looks at them then calls over someone and asks "Is there a limit on these coupons." (my heart sinks), then the person she called over tells me "we cant accept photocopies. sorry." Oh well. I got my set back when they were $20 and I was able to use the coupon then. Would have been a good gift though for my friends birthday next week.

Probably not. Most of us around here bought it on release day a few years back, and have exchanged it several times due to errors in the disc mastering...

And wasn't there another pointless release after this SE?

Actually, the "Extraordinarily Deluxe" edition has a rather spiffy looking new transfer.

Cool, I might have to upgrade, since I never fixed that subtitle problem on the other deluxe set.
Wait, did the EDE fix the subtitle problem? Add anything else besides the new transfer?

THANKS -- I did do a search, but somehow perusing those 10-20 page threads was not appealing and did not know of a keyword that would get me the exact post.

Yeah, it took awhile. Luckily for you work is slow today.

These coupons were a sweet deal. All Angel, Buffy, and Dark Angel for $5.99 each.

Simple Life, 24 preview, Simpsons theme sets, that new war show premiere - all free.

Yep, anything $10 and under will ring up free. YMMV of course. It may have to be regular price, they are not supposed to accept copies, etc etc

Me too. I had no idea at all. I really need to try and get some of those Simpsons theme discs and the Futurama disc.
