Not sure how Best Buy's price will compare at time of release?

50 percent off the SRP, which no store ever charges - or at least, no store that anyone would actually shop at.

There's no real savings there. Let me know when there's a real 50 percent off deal.

Seeing as how most 2-disk releases sell for $22.99 the week or release when there is also a 1-disk release, I'd say this is a deal.

I remember the POTC 2 release being that way last year.

Looks like a good price to me! I think the two disc was over $20 at my Wal-Mart last year for Dead Man's Chest. I might have got it for around 19.99 at amazon.

agreed. though with s&h usually comes to just under when all said and done, plus i think amazon will be $19.99 as was PotC 2. but if you're anal, you know in-store is the way to go.

Appears that they have changed the pre-order price back to 20% off. Deal is now dead. Hopefully a few members were able to get in on the lower price before it changed back?

Mod's, please close this thread. (I could not find the option to delete?)

I would guess FYE will have Pirates 3 2-DVD SE for $17.99 after mail-in rebate when it's released. With the 10% Backstage Pass that'll make it about $15.99. They might even have that preorder deal online now, but you'd probably have to pay shipping. In other words, this $17.49 deal doesn't strike me as particularly exciting. As soon as the price starts getting much over $15.99 for a 2-DVD SE, I feel like I might as well plan for the Blu-Ray or HD-DVD version (if I have a player by then).

Hmm. Just missed the deal. I added it and Spidey 3 to my cart and decided to take some time to think of a third disc to get for free shipping, but the price shot up.

Yes, it was a limited-time "you snooze, you lose" offer. We'll be doing this with other upcoming titles, so keep your eyes open...but those will be limited times as well. As the above poster noted, a certain 2-disc wallcrawler is currently at a special price.

Looks like they have 3 titles at 50% off at the moment. Nothing I plan to order now though.

Actually 50% off is a good deal especially on a brand new release as hot as this.

BUT, it has gone up. 20% off now.
